View Full Version : Do you think Durant still had a chance to win a ring in OKC?

I was arguing with my friend about this. He says that KD would never win a ring in OKC the way it was going, while I was arguing they were ONE QUARTER away from the finals three times over.

What do you guys think? :confusedshrug:

That's the thing. They were close to the FINALS.

This is who they would've had to play if they made it there.

Of course.

The only reason they didn't make the finals this year was because he didn't show up in game 6.

Yep, he single handedly ruined everything for Oklahoma City Thunder fans across the world. What a piece of shit

Yup. Seems like he really owed OKC another shot after blowing game 6 on their home floor like that.

Of course they had a chance. They made it to the WCF and went to game 7. They blew a 3-1 lead, and even with their choke-job, it took an epic performance from Thompson in game 6 to prevent the Warriors from losing the series.

I had been expecting a 2017 WCF rematch between the Warriors and Thunder.

He shit the bed and now he is bailing, basically.

He's a man free to make his own decisions... but still man... :facepalm

I thought so, but this move just confirmed that he is a scared little boy who is no up for a challenge, so probably wouldn't have been able to.

No way FT35 beating Cavs in the finals.

they lose to the cavs. Lebron owns durant and whatever else they even have on that roster and Irving would destroy westbrook. OKC was a consistent 2nd or 3rd team in the league but they were always below someone. That team was destined to be the modern day jazz.

Honestly, no. Even if they beat GS, they wouldn't have beaten Cleveland.

Yep, I cant get over how weak KD is. Such a shame. It's to the point where I'm actually embarrassed for him.

As for the topic, of course they had a chance. Hell, I'd put them as the favorite to come out of the West this year. Not to mention Al Horford WAS about to come, but KD didnt give a verbal agreement.

Westbrook
Oladipo
KD
Horford
Adams

That's flat out amazing. KD is bitch made.

Kd had the potential to be a top 10 player of all time, but this move will move him into obscurity, he wont be mentioned with the all time greats no matter how much he wins he will be looked at as a bitch.

I just wonder how he's gonna finally gonna break his radio silence after announcing this. Stay quiet until the press conference? 60 minutes interview segment on CBS? Gonna be interesting.
