21/7/3 on 62% TS while winning DPOY and top 5 in MVP voting

Where does it rank among peak seasons for Small Forwards?

Top 10? Top 20?

Obviously guys like LeBron, Bird, Erving, Pippen, Durant, etc has had better seasons. But would you take Leonard over 2nd tier SFs like Melo, Nique, etc at their peak? Both were superior players offensively but far worse defensively.

It's really hard to say IMO... some people like to call Kawhi a system player, but some others will argue that Kawhi will flourish even more if he was given the green light.

System player, not really impressed by his season. Pop turns trash into treasure and Kawhi is a prime example.

His 2016 regular season actually compares quite favorably to those first tier SF's when you break everything down.

Except he's far more efficient than Granger, and he's levels above defensively.

He's the perfect small forward IMO.

When I say that, he plays the role of a small forward very well and can fit any team with ease.

-Slashes to the basket well.
-Defends any position, great help defense and one on one
-Can score from range or in the post
-Not a facilitator but not a bad passer by any means
-Doesn't need tk dominate the ball to be effective

I just don't see much flaws in his game given the role of a SF. Slash and defend, while doing it on top efficiency.
