Kobe hung his nuts on Dwight's armpit, but he got a bit of a running start with the ball. MJ caught a pass from Pip at he headed toward the basket and dropped a load in Sikma's afro.

Kobe got to run-up and get momentum - and the only reason he dunked was because Dwight was super-late and just got caught at the wrong time.. That happens all the time in basketball.

Otoh, MJ's required him to drop-step with no dribbles or run-up - that means he dunked in a spot where no non-big man could have (other than Dr. J).

Show me a non-big man (other than Dr. J) that could drop-step posterize someone like that - that's a BIG MAN type dunk.. Only MJ could drop-step like that...

And MJ has plenty of drop-step, big man-type posters (http://cdn.makeagif.com/media/8-08-2015/9w9sNm.gif).

I'll take that Wade on Varejao dunk, and raise you a defender:

Or how about 2 defenders:

http://cdn.makeagif.com/media/8-08-2015/lFE09a.gif

Or how about just a better transition dunk period?

Or how about another drop-step, no-dribble poster:

Wade isn't physically capable of these types of things... :coleman:

I would have pick MJ, but Kobe putting his nuts on Dwight, hard not to pick that.

You can also add Pippen on Ewing, tea bagged Ewing after Dunking on him. Funny as shit.

Is this some kind of joke? Wade's dunk is nowhere near as vicious as Kobe's plus Varejao is a small name and small game. Dwight is dangerous big game prey.

I think Kobe's dunk is more aesthetically pleasing but MJ's dunk is more physically impressive - to be able to do that off a simple gather with no dribbles or momentum is amazing.

That was rookie 18 year old fresh of High school Dwight. Varejao was a better player at the time.

Another example of someone that doesn't know shit about basketball... :facepalm

like, let's say you're out on the playground with your buddy... And lets say you could dunk, but barely... If you wanted to set up a scenario where you posterized your buddy, you'd tell him to stand right under the rim, while you got a huge running start and huge head of steam from halfcourt.

does that make sense??.... ... :coleman:

he isn't, but it's all good - i know aj1987 likes the wade dunk and that's fine.

but i know i'm right that the wade dunk was easier than the dunks i posted of mj earlier itt.

Right, Wade in full speed dunk. MJ takes one step forward dunk which is a lot harder.

Wade's dunk was more dramatic mainly due to Varajeo's reaction and the crowd going crazy. It was a great dunk, but those two factors punctuated it more than the difficulty of the dunk itself. MJ did a simple gather and exploded with no real momentum to carry him from the distance he took off from, a testament to his one-foot jumping ability. The crowd reaction wasn't the same obviously, since he was on the road and frankly, MJ did alot of those types of posters at his athletic peak.
