Since being traded to the Grizzlies, this dude is averaging 5.5 FTA in 19.6 MPG. Per 36, 10.1 FTA :biggums:

He has a Free throw rate of .825 since being on the Grizzlies. In other words, he shoots almost a free throw for every shot he takes :biggums:

He's never been a guy who got to the line a lot either. Has he figured out some way to exploit the tendencies of refs?

Eh...he's never gotten the greenlight you mean. He's always been able to get his way to the rim, but when you're playing with Wade and then Wade & Lebron...you aren't really going to get many opportunities. That and he had always been the whipping boy on the Heat, so I don't think he ever played with full confidence. He just attacks relentlessly now on the Grizz.

Yeah, but it makes me wonder if he was being underutilized if he can get FTs like this.

The trick is to be Mario Chalmers the greatest player of all time. Those numbers prove it.

We should have never traded him.

I'd say Mario didn't make the most of opportunities given to him at Miami, more than anything.

We really shouldn't have. Heat legend

@inclinerator, Grizz have been better since they got Chalmers as far as I know

Chalmers has always had the ability to get in the paint, and he does have a bit of Harden-like craftiness around the rim. He's essentially an undersized SG and his instincts are as a scorer. When he's aggressive he can be pretty effective as a penetrator.

Seemed like his job was to spot up on 3s and hand off to LEbron in Miami...

Lebron James signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers prior to the 14/15 season.

Chalmers is a very strong and agile slasher. The Heat wanted him to expand his game to be more of a passer but when it was time to get buckets he could spark the Heat... when he doesn't turn it over.

'm glad his career is still in tack.

When they lost in the finals , the heat looked terrible , but Mario looked like a bum. (ie. I hated him)
