View Full Version : Kobe excused from practice for being 'really angry' with himself

:wtf:
At this point, they need to just excuse him for the rest of his career. Playing like absolute sht on a non-contending basketball team is only hurting his legacy in the long run

Good decision, he needs some rest.
He was playing beautifully before that calf injury.

Sucks because he used to be so durable, but since the achilles we are just wondering when and what the next injury will be

I don't think he was ever really that durable, he just didn't sit out with injuries that other players would sit out. Though it obviously has gottent much worse the last few seasons.

True enough. Way too much mileage on those joints to be the warrior he once was

Kobe reminds me of that chubby kid in elementary school, YOU KNOW THAT KID: who can't really dribble nor quick on his feet. So he's forced to just launch long shots with an awkward touch. (ie. Noah). Overtime he becomes decent and starts to think he's really good at 3's, soon that's all he starts to shoot. Then one day his shots just aren't falling at the 30% rate he's use to, so he throws a major temper tantrum and quits.

Possible that it could be good for a contending organization, but even then I doubt he would be will wanna take a back seat to anybody in the league.

It's definitely time

Hes coming to the realization that he isnt a good player anymore. It sucks to see for a competitor who has as much pride as him. He also said he wouldnt play if he cant average 20PPG anymore. its almost time for Kobe to hang em up which sucks

I think you're mistaking them for the "Lebron fam" that shrink away when they take losses.

We've yet to locate Silk. We suspect he hung himself after Lebron's finals loss.

This dude's going to push himself harder then any coach... probably get injured while doing it. He's stuck in his ways, but when it comes to training let the man be. He knows what he's doing.

Kobe didn't go to 90% of practices last year and the year before when he was NOT injured.
How is this news? Cause he has an excuse this time?
Prior he just didn't go cause he didn't care/want to

"I said, just stay away from the gym today," Scott said after the team's practice at their facility here. "Just spend some time with your kids and family and get basketball off your mind for 24 hours if you can -- which I don't think he can -- and then come in tomorrow fresh and we'll go from there."

"I just can't make a shot," Bryant said after Sunday's loss to the Dallas Mavericks, during which he missed 12 of 15 shots while scoring 15 points.

Scott said Monday that he's fine with Bryant's shot selection and that he's not concerned with Bryant in general.

:wtf:

"He's going to get to the Kobe that we know," Scott said. "It's just three games into the season. It's still very early."

:oldlol:

"We're going to keep feeding him. ... He's in the gym 24-7. It's not that he's not putting in the work," rookie point guard D'Angelo Russell said. "It's just, the basketball gods aren't blessing him right now with making shots. But they'll fall. Then we won't be having this conversation."

lol that's actually pretty funny

Kobe just looks terrible out there. Dude is STILL in pretty good shape, but he's got ZERO lift on his jumpers which is why over 70% of them are short.

I expect him to pickup his play, but he'll be closer to average than superstar tier (obviously).
