Who would you rather have your #1 pick go up against in practice. A slow ass bust, or a former MVP, defensive specialist, and champion

Same reason they hired 50 yr old Andre Miller. So he can practice, and mentor Tyus Jones

Tyus Jones 6'1 190
Andre Miller 6'2 200

KG 6'11 253
KAT 6'11 250

Bruh you know Kobe's old ass is still in the league right? And he's worse than KG

lol wtf.. garnett averaged 6 points and 1 assist last season on 46% as a 7 foot center

kobe averaged 2 less rebounds per game last season and is capable of putting up 25ppg/5rpg/5apg still

on 39-40% sure.. but iverson won league mvp with that sh*t

A. It's not a rental when he played there half of last year and then signed a 2 year deal.

B. Even if it was just one year of him yelling at Dieng and KAT, it would do more for the franchise than Bennett ever could.

C. Old KG is still better.

D. He's much more valuable to the organization for tickets and merch.

E. KG will partially own the Wolves in a year or two.

I though Garnett was traded for Thad Young?

Kobe had an overwhelmingly negative impact on the floor last season. Anthony Bennett was better. Players who played 2 minutes all season had a better impact than Kobe, due to the fact that they didn't play enough to hurt anyone as bad as Kobe did the Lakers. Kobe had a -14 net rating. He had negative offensive win shares. he had 0.0 WS/48

Bennett is garbage and a waste of a pick.

Garnett will probably "inspire" the younger guys but it's still Minnesota. They've been bad at historical levels even with prime KG on the team.

bennett will become a serviceable player within 3-4 years

he just needs to refine his shooting and get an nba body

hes out of shape

once it all comes together i see 15/8 out of him

sure hes not a #1 pick. but is that his fault? he didnt force the cavs to select him

Right.

Bennett was part of the Love trade

He also averaged 31/4/5/2.5 on 42% that season while leading his team to the best record in the East with his 2nd option being a defensive specialist. That's also the same record Shaq and his sidekick had btw.

ahh, the bias...I thought voter-based accolades are worthless, by your measure. somehow it's an achievement for Kobe tho

another L for Kenny!

He may be an all-star, but he won't be good.

all-star voting means nothing. Lakers will be below .500 and Kobe will shoot below 40%, unless he takes much less shots than he did the past few seasons.
