I think he technically is under contract considering he's a RFA.


It's optional and a few other cavs players aren't going to camp either.

Still sh*tty of him/RP though.

He is negotiating an ~80M extension. KLove wouldn't play for Team USA because of his FA. You don't risk injury during negotiations. Thats just the way it is.

Well the 'FA' in RFA stands for 'free agent.'

He can either sign the 1 year deal that Cleveland has tendered him, or sign an offer sheet with another team which Cleveland would have the right to match.

He's technically not under contract until he signs the tender or an offer sheet somewhere else.

He is currently a free agent.

Holding out in a contract dispute has absolutely nothing to do with his attitude.

He could get hurt the minute he signs a deal and never play again. In such a case it would be important that he got the most money possible.

It's completely fair to use whatever leverage youre allowed by the CBA to get the best deal. I dont personally think hes worth what his agent does, but I dont blame them for trying. Its his livelyhood, not mine.
