Dude was a wizard out there. Like he had the ball on a magic wand and he could get off at all three levels.

Almost everything he has done on and off the court in his whole life has an "I don't give a ****" air to it.

Made him fun to watch. Doesn't seem like that long ago even though it's been almost 10 years since peak Gilbert.

Gilbert was going off and had 38 points at one point in the 4th. Kobe got serious in crunch time tho and held him to 22 points in the last 5 minutes and OT.

How great is our gawd

I remember this well.

Fun fact: almost all the Gilbert Arenas career performances you remember, including this one, took place when the NBA was trying to introduce a new synthetic basketball. It was half a season, I believe around 2006. (You can see all the shots he "rims in" even in this video.) Right around the time the old ball was brought back, Gilbert went cold, and he never really shot that well again from the floor.

That ball was different. I remember one game against the Nets when Vince launched a prayer from 25 feet, it clanged on the back rim, but sort of stuck to it and the backboard, and rolled in, to win the game.

Anyone else feels like his style of play reminds them of James Harden?

The ball would just die on the back of the rim and backboard and squeegy about for a moment. Richard Hamilton had a shot like that as well.

He was still good before the D'eagle fiasco, too bad he was too crazy for his own career, well not the getting paid part obviously :lol

He has elements of Harden, Curry, and Deron Williams IMO

He'd be even better the way teams play today.

He wasn't the shooter that Curry is, but he had the high+quick release and wasn't afraid to pull the trigger immediately if you gave him space. He combined that with a quick first step and great strength for a guard.
