If TT, Smith, Mattew all resign, and trade Haywood for another 10mil player, Cavs would have to pay 131 Million for tax for being over the cap

If Haywood is waived, they still have to pay 80million for tax purposes.

Need more help tho

Laughing Note: Knicks held the record for 3rd,4th,5th,6th place in luxury taxes.
06-07 45mil - missed playoff
03-04 39mil - 1st round exit
05-06 37mil - missed playoff
13-14 36mil - missed playoff

prob nothing compared to how much Cleveland is making because of Bron's return

Along with the fact that dan gilbert is worth nearly 5 billion :confusedshrug:

They should let Smith and Delly go. Not sure about TT though. He played well for them but he's asking for too much.

There's really nothing else to do in Cleveland besides going to a Cavs game :confusedshrug:

Back to the topic, that doesn't mean it's okay to literally try to buy him a ring.

As long as the Cavs aren't breaking any rules or laws, its actually 100% okay.

Why isn't it okay?

You think Dan Gilbert is some uneducated dumbass that randomly spends his money like you? Dude's a business man worth 5 fking billion. The profits LeBron brings to him, and a potential championship run probably far outweighs the 200 million he spends on the team.

Nothing new. Gilbert has always used his wallet to the Cavs' advantage.

..then goes on to note that the other teams that have had extremely high payrolls (Knicks teams) did not perform well... which essentially disproves the entire theory of the thread.

I'm sure it's perfectly fine if the Lakers got all the free agents so Kobe can win his sixth ring, but if Cleveland overpays to retain it's core; Lebron is getting bought a ring. Right.

So now if lebron wins this year are haters going to use the payroll to discredit him? Keep the excuses coming. Lockout season, ray allen bailout, 200m payroll.

All that for a guy that faked a retarded elbow injury and stole the cavs from trying to win a championship so that he could team up with his buddies in Miami and win multiple championships, thing went wrong and he come running back to the team that got 3 n
