Is it the coaches or media who vote on all defensive teams?

If it's the coaches I think the selections should be taken more seriously.. Unlike some of the mvp selections like Malone over MJ in 96

Believe it's the media now but prior to 2014 were the coaches.

DPOY always been the media.

Alvin Robertson, Mutombo, Tyson Chandler and Gasol... Only DPOY's who didn't make the 1st all-defensive team.

I remember reading somewhere that they hand it off to interns and stuff. That the coaches don't actually vote for players.

They've been better in the last two years compared to prior to that where players were getting in purely off reputation.
