View Full Version : Jordan is 1 for 9....

Straight_Ballin

...in terms of his position relative to Bron on the all time list. :lol

Jordan at #1, and Bron at #9, just a **** hair ahead of Hakeem if that.

Stay shook. Looking forward to that 2/7 stat next year so we can see teams throw single coverage at a guy and watch him miss the most shots out of any player in the history of the finals. If you are going to take 34 shots, might want to make more....

Yeah you guys fabricated that BS to try to soften the blow that this generations "goat" is a farce. But no one is buying into the nonsense.

When Jordan got going in championship games he was never defeated. 6/6 clutch, in control.

Deal with it.

Lol this is super deflection.

Cats on this board know the Lebron vs Jordan talk has been buried in the f*cking dirt after this series so now they're trying to shift up and break dance their way out of that and make other points of the conversation.

at age 33, Jordan was 1-9 without pippen

From 1996-1998, when he was 33-35 years old, he won 3 fmvps, 3 rings and 3 straight scoring titles. It is rare for a perimeter player to still play at an elite level at that age but to still be far and away the best in the world and do what MJ did? Unheard of.

The 1-9 stat is the most laughable stat you Kobe or Bron or Wilt or whoever you back up in an attempt to degrade MJ and what he accomplished. Face it, he's the GOAT. Acccept it and move on.

Lebron went 2-2 with them; do you got the stupids bruh?
He went 0-2 on these scrub cavs teams(this year though its b/c of his injuries).
Lebron is really 2-2 in the finals when he has had a chance to win; he was the fave from 2011-2013, underdog or no chance the other years(such as 2007 and this year tbh). So lebron should have 3 rings but that is the only real flaw on his resume

"Only flaw"... I love it.

The minute he got shit on by Jason Terry was when the world said "yep, Jordan is GOAT"

Then they turned off the TV and went to bed.

When Jordan left the NBA, half the viewers stopped watching.
When Bron leaves, there won't be any loss.

That is his only flaw; name me another one? There werent as many stars after jordan retired because he was leaving with all of the 80s and 90s. Also there was a lockout in 1999 buddy.

I know Bran stans cling to this because it's all they have against Jordan, but lets be real:

1.) No gives a rats f*ck about how players start their career. Some players are great from day 1 (see Magic Johnson winning the Finals MVP as a rookie) some take a little longer to develop. Jordan wasn't even drafted in the top 2 of his draft class. He *developed* into the greatest NBA player over time precisely because he learned and adapted from his losses.

Shaq got swept out of the playoffs several times in his first few years but nobody remembers that, they just remember Diesel going up to slam it down against the Blazers in game 7 and then threepeat in LA. It's how you peak that matters, not how you start your career (particularly what you achieve in your earliest seasons).

2.) Those Bulls teams were terrible, even compared to the current Cavs who still probably are a better overall team. Beyond that, outside of his rookie season, all those losses in the playoffs came at the hands of the Bird Celtics ... one of the 3 or 4 greatest teams ever.

In '87 the Bulls were already starting to close the gap, the Celtics won, but each game was competitive and under a 10 point spread.

3.) Pippen averaged 10.6 ppg in the Bulls first playoff victory of the Jordan-era, against the Cavs where Jordan averaged 45 ppg and hit the game winning shot to win the series. If Scottie Pippen was the difference there, then LeBron should have no problem in this series since he's getting similar help of a couple of guys giving him 10 ppg or thereabouts for the series. You can't have that argument both ways.

Just accept LeBron is different, you guys do this to yourself by getting into these stupid arguments.

He's a a very good player who will likely end up as one of the greats, appreciate him for what he is, rather than having a stick up your ass over what he's not.

Jordan is a practically impossible standard to live up to. No one expects Sidney Crosby to literally match Wayne Gretzky. It's only in basketball where you have idiots who feel they need to ram their head into a brick wall over and over again.
