He should have been at least a 4x NBA MVP during his prime. Absolutely one of the best playoffs performer at his Peak.

He also led the only team that beat a Jordan-led team in the 90s playoffs

The Piston's beat him in '90

And as for the thread, prime Duncan never had a bad series in a loss either

Indeed. That 1995 Magic team was really a good team, but Hakeem was so unstoppable in the 1995 NBA Playoffs.

Shaq was a beast. I'd take him over any other player in history to start a team other than Jordan

Shaq played 79 games in 00 (MVP year) and 74 in 01 (either him or Duncan deserved it).

96 - 54 games
97 - 51 games
98 - 60 games
02 - 67 games
03 - 67 games

I love Shaq, but come on. How are people surprised that he didn't win more MVPs? You're never gonna win it missing 15-20+ games consistently.

1995. 2000. 2001. 2005.
4 MVPs.

I wish Shaq would've laid off the dominance, just so Hakeem could've pulverized Jordan in '95 Finals so those Jordan stans could shutup about those 2 years.

Jordan and his team would get swept in the finals.

We'll have to disagree on this one - David's year was insane.

Nash deserved his first MVP but I thought both Duncan and Dirk played better than Shaq in 05, and their records were worth more (both teams had a higher SRS than Miami, Duncan won the same amount of games in a tougher conference and Dirk won one less). :confusedshrug:

Why did he deserve it over Nash?

Actually he only deserved 2 MVPs: 2000, and 2001.

Depends when you define his "Prime" years, but O'Neal played below his regular season expectations in the following years:
1994(the second most disappointing player of the playoffs), and 2005
