we have to make it hard on him, no easy baskets or passes. But we cant let the shooters get in a rhythm. Thats how we're gonna do it every game"

EXACTLY what i said. Golden State will apply the same defensive gameplan like 09 Orlando all over again.

Sounds like a good game plan to me.

That's what works against Lebron. Pop discovered it though. Steve Kerr should send Pop an edible arrangement or something.

They were a mozgov bad travel call, or LeBron jumper, or Iman jumper away from losing the game :confusedshrug:

They won in overtime off two missed last shots.

Good gameplan

Imagine teams doing this on prime Jordan. He'd average 50+ and he'd certainly do it with better efficiency than what we see from LeBron tonight.

so basically they won. exactly
1-0
9-30 from 3pt land for Cavs. Let Lebron think hes unstoppable by giving him single coverage Cavs will never win a game with the shooters losing their confidence like this getting defensive attention

Good plan. Those saying this was a close game, yes it was but lets not factor out how badly GSW started thr game and how Lebeta made some fluke shots

Yup, teams that Bron destroys are the ones that overreact to everything he does. That opens up the passing lanes and that's where Bron is at his best. Just let him iso all day long, eventually he'll tire himself out. Cover his passing options and you turn him into Carmelo Anthony.

Plus his shot has been broken all playoffs. He made some tough ones inside tonight that he might not get as consistently next game.

his passing will get exposed this series too. Anyone that thinks hes honestly on the same level of passing/playmaking skill/dynamism of Bird/Magic/CP/Nash:roll:

exactly. all this "but it was close" is dumb as hell. so what if it was close? you don't get a trophy for being close, and if you ask lebron, i'm sure he doesn't care that it was close either, because they ****ing lost.

Idk if the warriors can keep doing this against lebron though, he is a smart player so who knows, he might make some adjustments. although idk what he can do if theyre basically letting him post up 1 on 1 thats probably the best shot anyway.

NOBODY WOULD BE SAYING THIS WORKED IF ONE OF THOSE LAST 2 SHOTS WENT IN OR IF THEY WON IN OT.

But the series is done, especially w/o kyrie. Before tonight I had the warriors in 6-7(as a lebron fan). Now, depending on kyrie, this may be 4-5 games no lie. But lebron was great tonight; just outmatched teams. 34-9 bench points....and now delly will start.
Lose or somehow win I cant wait till next year, if love stays too.
Mozgov/andy v
Love/TT
Lebron/Jones or upgrade
Jr/Shump
Kyrie/Delly
Might need another backup pg/sg player in case of injuries

Yeah, not a bad idea when the 2nd and 3rd best offensive players on the team and two of the best players at their respective positions in the world are likely no longer a part of the series. Maybe we'll get the series everyone wanted to see next season. Because the Warriors vs. LBJ, JR Smith, Shumpert, Delly, TT and Mozgov isn't it.

In LeBron's defense, Irving went down and JR started bricking. He still had shumpert and james jones to hit though.

This.

You need great wing defenders like Iguodala, Thompson, Green, and Barnes though. Spurs did the same thing with Leonard, D Green, and yes, even Boris Diaw. Most teams don't have that type of personnel. For example, Lebron would rape a team like the Clippers if they employed the same gameplan.

The people saying "they only lost because a couple of shots" aren't realizing that the game shouldn't have even been that close in the 1st place. Curry, Thompson, and Green didn't even play all that well and Cleveland didn't take advantage of it. This should've been a 8-10 point win for Cleveland. This was their chance to steal a game and they blew it.
