[I]Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul and center DeAndre Jordan have had a "falling out" throughout this season, which could lead Jordan to choose another team when he becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer, reports Bill Reiter of Fox Sports.

It's believed that Jordan will command a maximum contract. If the Clippers sign him to that deal, it would significantly limit the team's ability to make other additions in free agency.

Jordan averaged career-highs in points (11.5), rebounds (15.0) and field-goal percentage (71.0) this season while helping the Clippers post a 56-26 record and finish in third place in the Western Conference.

Paul, an eight-time All Star, averaged 19.1 points and 10.2 assists this season while shooting 48.5 percent from the field.

The Clippers were eliminated from the playoffs on Sunday when they fell to the Houston Rockets in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Jordan was asked if he would like to remain in Los Angeles.

You would expect more from a player with that strength, size, and athleticism. Forget an offense, he needs to learn to become a smart defender and rebounder because he still gets abused in the post defensively. Then you add his poor FT shooting, it just doesn't add up to how much of a disappointment he is.

When the main thing you bring to the game is the ability to jump then that's a problem.

you can also chalk that up to coaching. theres no reason to think that DJ cant have a defensive impact similar to Hibbert's - when he have a fck. for a guy his size, it just takes smart positioning. and his unworldly athleticism is the icing on the cake.

Exactly

This is why a lot of black players are overrated and immature

Great point here

Some people have terrible basketball IQ. DJ is one of them. He'll get rebounds and blocked shots just from length and athleticism alone, but he won't stop anyone. Dwight looked like Hakeem a few times on DJ. Tim Duncan put up prime Duncan stats on him. He's also mentally weak. Clippers need a smart, skilled center like Marc Gasol or Andrew Bogut.

He should go to the Spurs. DeAndre's idol was Duncan and they could have at least 1 year together. Then DeAndre would be Duncan's replacement. Seems like a fit to me.

Theres no way I want DeAndre at the Spurs.

Maybe for half what he'd be wanting, but no more.

He wants max but has too many flaws.

Needs to learn how to shoot free-throws, then he can command the money he's looking for.
