View Full Version : Is Durant's career in jeopardy?

Durant is officially out for the year. The foot is a complicated system of bones and muscles and maybe trying to rush back has burdened the healing process.

I find it despicable how people are trying to say Harden/Westbrook has surpassed Durant when Durant was still entering his prime and is not able to defend himself due to this injury.

This could be a Grant Hill situation where Durant may never be able to return to his MVP dominant ways and it will be a real shame to see yet another talent lost to injury.

Do you think Durant can return from this as good as ever?

Filed: LeBron voodoo case files.

Hmmm... Grant Hill was one of my favourite players ever man. I really really hope Durant doesn't go down the same path, it will be a real shame. Durant has the potential to be an all-time great.

I hope not. I still wants to see Team LeBron vs. Team Durant in another playoffs series. Maybe Cleveland vs. Washington less than 2 years from now.

Definitely in Jeopardy. Sucks, but it's true. This type of foot injury is not to be trifled with.

I doubt it, Durant still has been great despite playing through pain. I'm sure he'll be back playing an MVP level next year. Although i must admit the Thunder are really cursed, they haven't had a season since Harden left with all the stars being healthy.

25/6/4 on 51/40/85 playing on one foot.

Jesus Christ. He'll be back next year, hell, he could even be back 3 weeks from now, depending if the soreness goes away.

Either way, a healthy, 100% Durant is the best player in the league.

I do wonder with his game style if this could hurt him long term. His inside outside game is so beautiful, if he resorts to jump shots only due to the foot his impact will be reduced. This news sucks.

Eh 7 footer is about the weight.. since the foot issues are stress related, the more weight each step the more stress on the bone.. KD is a twig.

I thought hills ankles were destroyed ?

there's a big difference between bone problems and joint problems.. once you lose cartilage in a joint you're flexibility and strength in muscles surrounding the joint goes way down..

this is a bone issue and it's one that usually kills guys who are huge since the bone and tendons can't support the weight

You're right. It was a more of an ankle injury with Hill. I stand corrected.
