Anyone remember this? One of the rare occasions MJ has gotten booed. It was his first ASG after his comeback, but Shaq had the better game and the crowd felt the same. Turned out that the MVP votes were put in at the end of the 3rd quarter which was before Shaq dominated to close out the game.

One of my favorite ASGs btw....

So if the east would have lost and say Drexler had a 20 point 4th quarter MJ still goes home with the trophy?

Yea, I remember that. Shaq should've been named MVP, at some point he was just killing it.
Grant Hill, not Jordan, was also the leading vote-getter that year.

Bit off-topic:
Dr J also got booed when he won MVP at the 1977 ASG, in his 1st NBA year.
Erving had a great game and put on a show but his team lost by 1 point, and Westphal should've won MVP, tbh.
