Projecting which breakout big man will have the better NBA career

Rudy Gobert and Hassan Whiteside have enjoyed breakout seasons. Who's better?

It's the informal debate that has divided NBA die-hards. In a season where several young big men have shown great potential, two figuratively tower over the rest of the group: Rudy Gobert of the Utah Jazz and Hassan Whiteside of the Miami Heat.

While Whiteside's unique story and dominant stats have gotten more attention, what with Miami playing on national TV, Gobert has become a League Pass All-Star, a favorite of those devoted enough to watch Utah on a regular basis. (He'll get his moment in the spotlight Friday night when he plays in the BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge on TNT.)

So who's the more promising 7-footer? Let's take a look.

Gobert really impressed me at the Rising Stars game, and he is younger than Whiteside so there should be more rooms to grow.

Bol is the greatest shot blocker ever when he's on the court. Rip :(

Whieside also playing against weaker competetion in the east. Gobert is a great perimeter defender as well. He shut down Aldridge for 3 quarters mostly on the perimter. Can handle the ball, run the floor, set screens, and pass while developing a hook shot. Love the guy!

If Kanter is traded this weak he will finally be unleashed.
