Austin just got saved by his Dad. Waiters has more NBA level talent. As long as Doc can keep his son under him, than Austin has job security.

Waiters is a very talented and dynamic young player.

I'd probably place him in the top 5-10 SG's league-wide in terms of raw talent.

Dude just needs to get his head on straight, which should happen as he matures. He is VERY young, keep in mind, and is still figuring things out.

He's a legit combo-guard, who can play PG when needed, and plays above average defense vs any PG, and most SG's.

Whether he will be a good fit in OKC only time will tell.

I for one was sad that he didn't work out in C-town, as I really like his game. He's a versatile player, and I love versatile players.

Rivers has actually been better than Waiters I would say.At least he keeps his usage low. Hard to suck that badly.

I think they will both be in the league for a long time and retire old.

They both have enough talent where if they get released or something, a team will always be willing to sign

This. He would have been somewhere in Europe if his dad was not around. Now all Doc has to do is use him properly, nurture him, and he can stretch his career to another 5 years. Waiters has to figure it out like a man.

Because the Clips were playing poorly before they got Austin Rivers and had a bad record, now that they have their savior in Austin there record has improved and they are finally playing good basketball.

And on the flu side, OKC was playing great and had an amazing record before they got Waiters, ever since they got him at has been downhill and he is the cause of their declining record

Glad you're seeing things clearly.

Before rivers:
24-13 - .648

After rivers:
9-2 - .818

You went from 7-2 to 9-2. Which is it? Both very impressive. :coleman:

Rivers has been real solid for the Clippers off the bench, dude gives 100% effort on D, doesn't take any stupid jumpers, handles the rock well, and is the only guy that is willing to attack the rim, despite being a subpar free throw shooter.

Austin will stay because of nepotism. Wouldn't want either on my team tbh.

Waiters is not top 5-10 in SG talent.

lmao

He's not a good shooter, athletic, a good passer, a great handler, or anything else talent related.

First three games of his Clipper tenure, it'd be sarcasm

Since, no.

He's actually all those things, you'd know that if you watched a Cleveland game before LeBron came to town.

Waiters is too dumb for the NBA, he needs to train his logic with sudokus, chess games, logic games. He can be a good player if he plays more intelligently.
