i often wonder if tha leagues first athletic player an prototype guard would be able to hack it in todays league. the man was clearly a head of his time. its weird sometimes wen u watch him play in old grainy highlights u can almost squint ur eyes and see flashes of russell westbrook in him as if he could be taught how to play modern hoops if he just had better training. but alas he did not, he had some awkward moves that just wouldnt cut it today so im not sure a coach would take him. but lets all respect one of the legends and pioneers of the game today. the first great guard of the game michael jordan :applause:

this is what I think of Jordan when I think of his game.

He is someone who consistently found his way to elevate himself over his opponent with a mechanic form that made his field goal percentage so consistent.

whether or not some player hadn't found a way to do so because of physicality, or the lack of shooting touch, it's certainly up for debate.

but where as Kobe understood the anticipation of defenders better. I'd say Jordan simply understood how to get the spacing he desired.

plus he was so strong that he wasn't just a flip of the wrist kinda guy. he was the elbow up in perfect form for release guy. probably had something to do with his hands being bigger for his size as well.
