1. Nurkic
2. Gobert
3. Whiteside

Best right now is Whiteside but Nurkic swag will propel him to greatness. We have finally seen the Lakers' saviour.

sort of piggybacks on my other thread...

1) gobert
2) nurkic
3) whiteside

idk, i love gobert. nurkic is right there too. whiteside sort of just reminds me of brendan wright. limited offensively, great length and athleticism to finish. gets almost all his points off putbacks and rolls. prob a better rim protector though

Out of Nurkic and Gobert. Haven't seen Nurkic. Whiteside is much older.

Was weighing between the 3 for my fantasy team and decided to take a roll on Nurkic. Nurkic definitely has the highest upside, Gobert is gonna be solid for years to come, Whiteside more of an energy player, I think he'll have the type of season Birdman had for the Heat the last 2 seasons, or when he was in Denver.

Also took the plunge on Nurk for my fantasy team, hopefully the shipping out of Mozgov will give him the minutes he needs to develop as much as he can

Nurkic will be the best offensive player by a mile, but I'd bet on Gobert being the best defender of the bunch. He's already a good rim protector. I love Nurkic though. He'll likely have the most overall impact.

Whiteside is a nice hustle big imo that provides nice defense.

I think this list should be at least 4; borderline 5.

1) Whiteside
2) Gobert
3) Nurkic
4) Alex Len
......
......
5) John Henson

All emerging bigs with Atleticism through the roof. In my opinion Len has the best of being a cosistent starter. Gobert and Whiteside are practically carbon copies of each other @ being rim protectors.

Whiteside 25 years old
Nurkic 20 years old
Gobert 22 years old

agreed. i think the other two can develop a solid jumper though.

gobert should easily be the best defender of them all. he's more than a rim protector. he's shown flashes of guarding multiple positions. also limits at rim shots to below 40% which is crazy elite. then factor in his freakish standing length and timing. i see him being a DPOY candidate for years.

len deserves in the convo too. he's a starter.

why does people always confuse big man defense with rim protection? its one factor

Nurk is a much better pick and roll defender. and has better defensive shares than Iggy had here in the 57win season

Nurkic is just terrific, i saw him play last year at home in a must win game in front of his homecrowd and that mfer had a 32/15 being double and triple teamed against players of his generation.

Gobert is already a lot more than solid. He takes the Jazz from one of the worst teams in the league to one of the best defensively all by himself. You can see him getting better all the time too.

Nurk is a much better pick and roll defender.

Hard to imagine. Gobert does just fine guarding the pick and roll.

i'm sure he does

but nurkic is great at defending the pick n roll. his lateral quickness is amazing for a guy his size

Gobert is the best defender out of the 3 IMO...blocked 7 shots and had 3 steals the other day, his passing is nice too...he has the highest upside but he needs more minutes they need to trade kanter or favors.

Yusuf Nurkic is a beast too both on offense and defense...he was clowning on DMC a week back...def like the kid he's still only 20.

Hassan is the lesser player out of the 3 imo but still service-able...good rim protector and gets his points off putbacks and lobs reminds me of Tyson Chandler...he will get paid.

I wish the Lakers would try to get Gobert now Kanter is back and his minutes are on the decline.

havent seen whiteside.

only a lil of nurkic and he looks like a great prospects.

i did watch gobert for a couple of games, and i think he is a beast, scoring, rebounding, passing, scoring, defending, he does it all.

whiteside's 5 years older than nurkic and 3 years older than gobert. he's older than demarcus cousins too. why compare him with guys that much younger?

What ever happened to JaVale McGee?

He had this kind of potential.

Jazz aren't trading Gobert! There's plenty of minutes for all 3 rather they can keep one of them happy coming off the bench is another question. Booker needs to go so they can figure it out.

Gobert has the most upside out of the 3, IMO.

If I were to take one of them to be my starting C for the next 10 or so years, it'd be Gobert. Nurkic right behind him.
