With Nate Robinson going to Boston (h/t @SpearsNBAYahoo), I'm told he would love to shore up Clippers backup PG spot if waived by Celtics.

Why would the Nuggets take on that future salary?

I have no idea. It's only 3m so maybe they just want out of Nate and think Nelson can turn things around and be our backup PG for the next season and a half.

Funny how Denver drafted Nelson but this will be the first time he plays for us

Chicago does not need Nate. They can score fine. It's their defense that's slipped this year.

Makes no sense unless the GM's are past friends or something, doing each other a deal to keep a good relationship or something.

Oh well, changes virtually nothing league-wide (neither of those guys are going to be an impact player on a title team) so.... no harm no foul.

I don't trust Derrick Rose. Hes failed us time and time again while Nate Robinson played his heart out during the Playoffs when we had him.

If Rose goes down our PG rotation will be Brooks and Hinrich and Nate is better than both.

Crazy how the guy is almost your leader in games played in Magic history.

And suddenly he will probably become a journeyman.

I understand not trusting Rose. His athleticism seems to be pretty good, but he still can't score :confusedshrug: .

I guess I have to preface this. I like Nate. I enjoy his energy, I love his attitude, I love/hate his play. When Nate is on ,dude is ON.

Nate is not better than Brooks (not sure about Hinrich). Nate is a shoot first PG, He is not a facilitator. Since his injury, his scoring ability has gone down significantly. He has not been able to get to the hoop, and has been relying on deep 3's.

The biggest reason Denver did this trade, is chemistry. Nate had some issues with the coaching staff, and apparently some players.

The mans a midget, but I've always liked his tenacity. I'd waive Price and give the starting job to Nate on the Lakers.

you need an backup PG either way. And this draft class is really weak when it comes to PG's and maybe Connelly also didnt like any of the free agent PG's

this trade doesnt hurt us in any way for the future. just replacing a triggerhappy nate for a guy who has some idea of how to run an offense

i like jameer. very happy with the trade
