Josh Smith signed with Houston because Morey promised a starting spot, now it'll be interesting to see that he's being benched. Go Heat!

If the Rockets lose tonight ...

Both teams slumping. I suspect an ESPN article pointing fingers to be written about whoever loses this game.

Already looking better with Smith out of the lineup

If Heat lose they're 6 games under .500. The article will be about them regardless win or lose.

Well not necessarily, if the Rockets lose the Josh Smith talk will be front page and center.

What about Terrence Jones? I thought he was the starter regardless.

Houston playing good defense. And someone needs to wake Dwight the **** up. He looks like he doesn't even give a crap on the court.

If Jones is back, Smith won't even be the first big off the bench. Which is very deserving of him.

I think when he comes back, DMo will move to the backup center spot and Smith will backup Jones.

My god, DMo is such a beast in the post.

Don't be silly, ESPN doesn't give 2 shits about the Heat anymore. :lol
Don't think I've seen them come out with a single article about the Heat all year.

anybody see that?

josh smith at the elbow, slow pump fake, no contest, so he raises up again like he's gonna shoot... then decides against it. checks the lanes for a drive to the cup... decides against that. reverses ball back to harden who drives for lay-up. high fives all around. smith looks both happy and confused at what just happened.

I can't be the only one stunned that Whiteside is still in the NBA. Where the hell has he been since his Sac days? Thought the guy died.

Heat cant do anything with Dwight playing like that. Hopefully they keep isoing him and he fails to keep it up with missed freethrows and turnovers.

Heat defense has been garbage all year.

I didn't think a Heat team could be this bad defensively under Spo. This was his calling card. Can't sustain any type of defensive intensity. Not reflecting too well on him. The personnell isn't that bad.

So I just realized that if the Heat lose this game they will only have a one game lead on Indiana for the 8th seed. :biggums:
I've been saying since Bron left that the Heat might miss the playoffs this year, but I didn't see it going down in this manner. I thought if Miami didn't make it in it would be due to Wade not being able to play enough games, but this is the best he has looked in years. If they can't finish with a better record than the Paul Georgless Pacers, WOW!

Cavs are the 5th seed and won 33 games a year ago. The Heat are coming off 4 straight Finals and might not even make the playoffs. Situations aren't really comparable.

Josh Smith played smart today. Didn't take many retarded shots, passed the ball well, and played good defense. Positive impact from him tonight. Hope he continues to play like that. Also, good games from James and Dwight. Nice win today

I think you guys focus on Josh Smith too much. Past few Rockets games have been more about Dwight and Hardens play if anything.

Dwight kinda sucked the past few games before today's. Wasn't giving any sort od effort and it looked like he didn't even wanna be on the court. I, and a lot of other Rockets fans, focus on Smith a lot because we just want him to play well. He's the new dude on our team so im sure many of us were excited when he signed with us. Of course you always want the new guys playing well. Brewer has been the perfect spark for us off the bench so im really happy him being on the team.

Problem with Dwight is that, unless he's getting fed, he sulks and doesn't play D or rebound.

The thing is, you can't really blame the Rockets. He's a ball stopper and TO prone. Can't run the offense through him like you can with Boogie or Gasol.

If Dwight would just accept the role of a glorified garbage man who rebounds and plays great D, the Rockets would fare much better.

He looked great tonight.

Ive always thought dwight should have dynamic roles based on who he is playing against. If you got soft interior defenders (Miami) give him the ball. If you got bangers, then you are just asking for trouble. Also he should never be able to take more than a dribble or two. If he cant get deep postion without it then run pick and roll.

I wish Dwight played like he did in the play-offs every night in the regular season. You can tell during the regular season that Dwight don't nearly try as hard as he do in the play-offs.
