he had the right mindset coming into the league, but one has to wonder if it's just an act
the part he explains how a guy came to him after a 5/9/9 half time and asked him "that's a pretty bad statline, isn't it?", and Lebron answers, "how? we're up by 33". It's rare for him to come out that way with all the hype behind.

That's not how it works, sure it helps, but a kid that sucks at sports would continue sucking even with that access.

Funny,, All the highlights from this video basically demonstrated what Kobe was talking about. These kids are playing great American basketball but when it comes to fundamentals, it is completely obsolete.
When you look at European kids learning how to play BBall, you don't see them learning how to make finger roll lay ups or no look passes.... You see them mostly utilizing powerful jump stops, triple threat positions, crisp double hand passes and squaring up to shoot at their age.

Doing volume number of players and athleticism totally right.
Also, remember that this is not a case of doing right vs wrong, instead it's about right and more right.
Europeans teach and learn fundamentals of the game better with the current development system, but US still does it in a (relative to the conversation) very good way that attracts many kids to the game. It's not like people are saying the US overall is doing the opposite of teaching good basketball.
