So far this season spurs have been beating the good teams and losing to the bad teams.. So that run of games pretty much challenges them to get there game together.. With splitter going to get more minutes and hopefully Leonard back they should do pretty well... The challenge at the moment is in the pg position with the sours.. Tony is pretty hobbled at the moment.. Forcing the Spurs to rely on the 3rd string pg cory to hold it together while mills is out.. And while he is consistent on defense his really lacks the offensive understanding of both Parker and mills.. This is also forcing manu to play a lot more point than he should be..

I still feel that the Spurs form right now isnt too important as long as they can keep grinding out wins to keep them in the race.. Once everyone is back I think they will be able to compete with anyone come playoff time.. As long as they are healthy of course..

I think this will bring out the best in them..

They go 8-2, perhaps 7-3.

Good post. I know we'll at least break even, I was just surprised looking at it this morning.

I think Tony has been really bad this season tbh. CoJo is a very good defender and he hustles...he also attacks the rim surprisingly well. Problem is he can't shoot a lick. MVPatty can't come back sooner.. Boris looks disinterested also. He's super hesitant and a bit lazy.

This past week has been really disappointing. Tim and Danny have played their hearts out and the others just don't care. Hopefully the stiffer competition ignites some interest.

We need Kawhi back asap. Hate to say the Spurs rely on one player but shit, this is the most the Spurs have leaned on any single player in a long time. Remember when Kawhi came back from his injury last year and the Spurs won 20 straight?

Definitely part of it. He's only missed the last two I think.

I think missing Splitter has been our biggest problem. When Tim sits (15-20 minutes a game), our frontline gets exposed. Boris/Bonner/Baynes just can't rebound or defend well enough to win games. We're definitely trying to grind out wins until we get healthy (we're defense first, offense second when last year it was the opposite). Hopefully his nerve issues don't aggravate.

Parker is injured/become a TOSB. Kawhi's missed some games. Manu either shows up or his doesn't. Tim has lived almost half his life expectancy. Patty's still gone. Bonner is done. Ayres and Daye belong in China. The**** is going on right now. :biggums:

We're asking Duncan, Kawhi and Green to carry the team, when none of them are at that level (Kawhi and Tim can be but they wait until the Playoffs to be those guys).

Sign someone, RC.

Only concern is health ... every week there's a new injury :(

I love watching the Spurs play.... It's fun seing them obliterate other top teams with 1-2 bigger names by ball movement.

I will try to watch as many games of these 10 as possible, this will be a very important stretch for the final wc rankings... Not just for the Spurs, but for the teams they face also. H2H tiebreakers could be of real importance.

The west is so deep this year that every team will have a stretch like that this year, maybe multiple times, if your in the western conference. East is a cake walk.

Such a shame.

I know they're playing Denver, but the Spurs are looking dominant out there. Just goes to show how important and healthy Kawhi and Splitter are to this team.
