I see Pop sending defenders to trap and double Kobe on the baseline, at the top of the key, at the elbow, at the three point line
then I remember Kawai sagging off Bron and daring him to shoot in the finals

What does that have to do with mentality?
They're both going to end up with less MVPs, Rings, Finals MVPs, Scoring Titles, and DPOYs too. Both aren't as good.
Neither of them tried playing another sport the last 2 years of their prime basketball years. So of course their accumulative stats will be higher.

Because they know Kobe won't pass out of the double team which will lead to jack a bad shot. Look at his FG% this game. If you double LeBron he will find the open man.

For how mentally weak Lebron is you are right one thing He wouldn't quit on his championship level team so he can sit the bench for the Birmingham Barons.

Because Kobe is happy to shoot fade away 3s with two hands in the face for extremely low percentage whereas Bron would dish out an assist.

Kobe is a notorious Spurs killer, so Pop's strategy against him obviously wasn't very effective. Maybe he should have used a different line of thinking...probably have wouldn't mattered though. Kobe was too dominant.

Because he's the best player in the league and the only good player on the team. With LeBald there's always superstars spotting up at every corner. Plus you dont need 2 or more players to lock down LeBald, just put Diaw on him.

The record isn't MJ's. Last I checked, Kareem was the all-time scoring leader.
This fascination by Kobe stans re: beating MJ at anything trips me out.

One took 19 years to catch up to MJ. The other isn't the scorer MJ or Kobe were and is already showing signs of slowing down.
Neither one will surpass 6 rings. :confusedshrug:

ray allen
During the 2004 preseason, Allen had a brief war of words with Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant, whom Allen accused of alienating teammates trying to prove that he did not need Shaquille O'Neal to win games and championships. Allen told the press that if the Lakers remained a mediocre squad, "in about a year or two he will be calling out to (Lakers owner) Jerry Buss that we need some help in here, or trade me."

Um... people don't double LeBron because it doesn't work. It never has.
And it's pretty pathetic that people still refer to the Spurs sagging off LeBron even when they're talking about the 2014 Finals. The Spurs did not sag off of LeBron at all in the 2014 Finals. Not even a little bit. That strategy backfired on them in 2013, and last year they completely flipped the script. No matter who was guarding James, they crowded him every chance they got and played him as tight as they could. I seriously think 99% of you didn't even watch the Finals.

Because he's a more dangerous scorer when he gets going...and the other teams know he doesn't pass as well or as often...and his teammates are clowns when compared to Lebron's over the last 7 years...
Not hard.

Lebron has a superstar supporting cast for 5 years now, just too stacked to afford double teams.
