You think an alpha would settle for 3rd place? He could score 15ppg and still pass Jordan by the AS break. It is Kareems scoring record he is gunning for. Right now he is but 6313pts away which at his current pacr would take him 3 years to break it. Hes got 2 years on his contract and as long he can put up 20ppg he will be a starter in 2017 too.

If he sees that Lakers could give him a chance at the 6th ring come 2016 when salary cap skyrockets, i can see him playing another 3 years. I hope he'll be smart enough to sign a Dirk-like final contract that will give LAL more flexibility.
