Cause he's way too good. Scott Brooks wants it to be a fair game, so that's why he has Perkins on the bench. Same reason why Brian Scalabrine & Adam Morrison were bench players for the majority of their careers. Those two guys make Michael Jordan look like a YMCA-level basketball player.
