The 2015 NBA title will reside in the Bay Area.

25/5/10 isn't out of the question

The more I think about it, the more I agree. Multitude of reasons:

- KD is out for at least the first month, so I think he's already out.

- I don't think the Cavs will win enough games for Bran to run away with the MVP.

- Blake won't get it because everyone still has a boner for Chris Paul.

- Everyone ****ing loves Steph Curry, and rightfully so. Nobody would be mad about him getting MVP, except for maybe salty Bran stans, who would suddenly target Curry.

- Warriors could win 60+ games if they stay relatively healthy.

I'm still sticking with my pick of Blake....but Curry would probably be #3 or #4 after Blake, Lebron, and potentially KD if he comes back and returns to last regular season's form. I honestly wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if he got it...though I'm afraid if he got it (and I think he'll fully deserve it if he does), there might be a whole lot of revisionist history going on years after.

Unlikely, but I will be rooting for the kid. If he has a great season (and LBj with Durant does not), and Wars win ~60 games, then yeah - he would be fans and media darling.

You know he put up 24/4/9 last year, right?

It'd be cool but all I care about is that the team stays healthy. I think bron is a near lock anyway.

Steph's stats might stay about the same or even drop a bit but I could see him being even more efficient, 50/40/90

If only there was a way to put Curry on those mid-2000s Suns teams in place of Nash.. Adjusting to the Suns' pace Curry would've been at 25/4.5/9 last year.

I'd rather see Steph put up 50/40/90 than 25/5/10 (if it had to be one or the other which it likely is)

Yeah rounding. Do you not realize how much usage and stats he would have to take from his team and current role to have that type of increase? So what, Klay Thompson doesn't improve at all?

LeBron is going to tie MJ with 5 MVP's this year

Will turn the 33 win Cavs into 55+ wins

Plus the homecoming story factored in

He's definitely the safest bet

Would rather he shoots 50/50/90 tbh

His usage last season was not high at all relative to the production numbers he was putting up. 28.3% usage...compared to 34.4% for Westbrook, 33% for KD, 32.7% for DMC, 32.4% for Melo, 31% for Lebron, etc. He was also 18th in the league among just point guards for touches per game, 9th among point guards in minutes of possession per game. He wasn't super ball dominant to begin with..not saying he's gonna get 25/5/10 because those are cartoon numbers, but even if he dominated the ball a bit more, it still wouldn't be that high.

Really, Blake? He has no chance. If the Clippers are good enough for someone to be considered MVP the votes will be split between Paul and Blake and no one will get it from the team.

:oldlol:

On topic, I think the race is still between Durant and James.

Durant if Thunder struggles while he's out the first month, and him coming back and putting his team back in place at top of the west while posting great stats.

And James who will be a great story about this home town hero who came back, and puts the Cavs who were a lottery team, along with his loser teammates (Irving and Love) who never got to the playoffs, into instant contenders.

These two are too great of a media story to bypass, and also creating a potential rivalry as James and Durant will likely meet in the finals (barring injuries to key players on their team).

You forgot the fact that they will have the best stats....

Uh, no. The media will foam at the mouth over LeBron's return. They'll play that whole "Cavs went from no playoffs for years, to top of East" or whatever storyline you want to use. If not LeBron, maybe the Pelicans make the playoffs through AD or something. Idk, Curry would be like my 6th pick, maybe less.

Steph's MVP odds vary from 11.00 to 34.00 I suggest you put your money where your mouth is.
