- .26sec in he hits an off the dribble jumpshot over Klay Thompson (who for some reason LG is enamored with)

- .36sec in he hits a step back fade on Iguodala

- .47sec in he makes back to back defensive stops.

- 1min48sec, off the dribble ...turn around fade away

- 2min46sec in, he beats klay off the dribble easily then gets an assist (upcoming great defender eh?)

- 3min5sec .....works the post and does a baseline fade.

Haven't seen you posting in awhile bro, nice to have you back.

My biggest concern for Kobe is how much separation he's going to be able to get on his fadeaway. He needs some lift, or else he's going to have to continue doing the Dirk knee/kick thing.

I'm not a Kobe fan, but he obviously is still a baller. Not as quick, or fast, but old man strong and still a great shooter.

He looked decent in this clip, but yeah...his lift is still low. Against good, long defenders he is going to have some rough shots. Glad to see he is looking better though. The league surely wants the Lakers to be somewhat relevant.

I agree, he's definitely not blowing by defenders or even getting much lift but i'm also seeing him being crafty and utilizing off ball movements a lot more

I think a lot of writers had the "kobe is done" article in the holster before season even started and couldnt wait till he had a poor preseason game before sending that article for publication. Byron is working these guys hard in practice and kobe was visibly gassed for last preseason game. His play was fine in the 1st and 2nd game.

How old is Kobe? 34? 35?

He'll be a 20ppg scorer until he retires at 39 or 40.

That said, there's a difference between a 20ppg cancer-chucker and being a cohesive part of a successful unit scoring 20ppg.

He CAN be the latter. I'm just not sure he WILL be. We'll see, though.

But for this season, I'm thinking 25/5/5 kinda numbers, with solid/average percentages. Pretty much same Kobe as last two yeasr.

At 36, with busted up legs. He is dunzo, you can see in the preseason he can still look good for stretches but for most part is trash. I am thinking 19 4 6 on 40/33/79

Damn dude. I read the "does this look like a player" part in your thread title and right away I knew it was Kobe. I'm too freaking good man. Too good!

Kobe played pretty well tonight. Does not look close to being done at all to me.

I think its hard to say until we get into Jan and Feb. How long will he hold up?

hmmm interesting in the sense that kobe's ability to hit difficult shots have actually payed off lol. a lot of his shots are off balance and difficult shots

he ain't done scoring wise, but he will have less impact on the team success

I think he would be spectacular in a Manu Ginobili type role for a contender.

However, I don't think he has what it takes to be the leading superstar on a team anymore, so in that sense he is done. He can probably still drop 30 on a regular basis, but he can't carry the team by himself anymore.

He has a shitty team so I expect him to score around 20-25 ppg.
