Thoughts:
The Heat have a lot of interesting, versatile pieces.
The shooting and cohesiveness looks a little shaky.
Napier and Chalmers had their moments.
REAL Heat fans in the house having a great time. Good to see.
Granger and Shawn Williams showing nice touch.
Bosh showing some versatility.

Overall:
A work in progress. Nothing spectacular yet. The Heat will obviously miss LeBron.

Granger looked confident out there. Could be a major pickup for the Heat for next to nothing :applause:

You could run out:

Cole/Chalmers
Wade
Granger
Mcroberts
Bosh

Not a bad starting lineup at all

Although i think Deng will start over Granger...

Chris Bosh looked good and ready to lead the Heat. I missed the scrimmage just saw some highlights and Williams is a pretty good shooter for a PF. Heat still have good ball movement
(I missed it cause I went to see the Spurs scrimmage live, sorry Heat fans it was free.)

The problem is Bosh looks like the best shooter, spacing will be bad. Which will really test Spo's coaching.

Saw this on a heat board

So after all this talk in the off season about changes coming to the 'System" we now have UD shooting the 3 by design? I dont know whether to laugh or cry. Spo being Spo again.

Haslem has been working on his 3pt shot for a couple of years now and there is nothing wrong with testing out the progress during an open practice to the public and even during a preseason game. The "Spo" offense wants FIVE players on the court that are active scoring threats. Haslem has been working towards getting himself on the court. Maybe it works, maybe it doesn't. That is what the preseason is for, to figure these things out.

BTW, I saw a lot of ball movement (which is great), a lot of open guys in space (also great) and lots of them at the 3pt line (46 3pt attempts) but there were also a lot of misses from 3 (only 16 made 3's). I hope the efficiency improves but it was obvious that the ball movement was good. We'll see what happens when playing against another team. Also, McRoberts should add another dimension to the offense when he plays.

Sorry bro, I don't care whether it's scrimmage, preseason or regular season. Haslem shooting 3s is pathetic, spo even attempting to run that "play" is even more pathetic. Haslem just retire or sit on the end of the bench at collect your checks. Guy is done.

Dang McBob gonna miss all of preseason!?!?

That ain't good... vital for chemistry and he is going to be a huge part of the team.

Guess we're going to have some growing pains in the beginning, sigh.

I haven't seen much so I can't really comment yet, but this is the lightest he's come into camp in several years. Very encouraging.

got this from a heat board

Deng looks aggressive
Ennis looks passive but did look good when he asserted himself
Wade looked quick but still tries to be too cute with the ball
Bosh looked determined
Cole and Chalmers were forgettable, no way Chalmers keeps the starting job
Shawne Williams looked good splashing threes and moving without the ball to set himself up
Napier had busy hands with steals but had some bad misses on open shots
Granger was aggressive looking for his long shot and playing face D on Wade
Shannon Brown looks fast and tried a few long range shots
Tyler Johnson looked nervous played nervous but mvoed well.
Haslem should retire ( I love him but ya, he should retire)
Shawn Jones overthebacks, silly plays but reminds me of a young Haslem type. I kinda like him but needs work
Khem Birch has some nice blocks, can catch and finish, runs the floor. Man I wish he were 6"11 PJ Brown???
Dawkins, Reggie, Chris Johnson need to show more.

Wade had some sweet fadeaways but looked a little rusty on his finishes to the basket
