Why didn't they keep him? He was so good he carried the team and beat the nets in the playoffs

They thought Derrick was going to be healthy. That's it, nothing more.

Why did the Nuggets sign him?
because andre miller was a shell of his old self. and almost singlehandedly lost us the series against GSW with his pathetic defense on curry

well that might be a bit too harsh. but guy was beyond a liability on the defesive end

He's not very good?

Nate can create shots for himself and on a good day, make 7 outta 10. On a bad day, 3 outta 10. He has as many good days as bad days. He also has a nice 3 point shot when left open and.. that's about it.

He does nothing else at an even above-average level. He's a scoring guard who's not an elite or even All-Star level scorer. And I'd argue he's in the in the bottom 5% of defenders for his position.

It's no coincidence that he's been on 6 teams in 9 years.

Guys like him and Nick Young seem to blind people with their 16-17ppg averages. Dig a little deeper and you'll find they shoot 43% and don't do sh!t else to help their teams win

the same reason why he bounces around so much. hes not a good locker room guy. he doesnt know when to to make the pass or when to shoot.

:facepalm

He is ONE DIMENSIONAL and is paid to CHUCK. Nate is a streaky shooting entertaining pg/sg.

Sure wish we would of kept him, but our acquisition of Aaron Brooks is going unnoticed by a lot of people. Brooks will be a game changer and is a starting pointguard in this league.

he was actually good for the bulls since nobody could create their own shot

Yeah cause Faried didn't get shat on and neither did McGee, had nothing to do with Dre Curry was a man possessed and Iggy was giving away game plans. Robinson was a crap signing considering they already had a small scoring guard in Ty. It's just like the JJ Hickson signing what's the point?

This.

Historically, Bulls brass will spend money in years they think they will win a championship.

They might be thrifty, but they run a business well and if I was an owner, I'd only spend in years I'm contending also.

Can we stop overrating Nate. He is a good spark off the bench, nothing more.
