if he starts to suck it up they can always put him on the IR and bring in dirk in the starting lineup. activate yao ming

make it a 7 game series

Itd be better for world if Dirk starts over Duncan. No Pop is a big deal
And Manu should be starting over Drazen

agreed with dirk over duncan

but i think drazen would be deadly in the starting lineup with nash and kobe out there.

dude shot lights out even as the main option on the nets. imagine him wide open with a shorter three point line

and i think the world actually has an outside chance. especially since its international rules

Wait, why is Kobe on the "World Team"? He played for Team USA. Was born in America, and lived the majority of his life in America. Obviously favors America. Not even sure he's actually a dual citizen of Italy. His folks were Americans living over seas. He only lived there for 7 years.

Team America ALL DAY

C - D Robinson / Shaq / KG
PF - CB34 / Bird
SF - Pippen / Durant
SG - Jordan / Wade / R. Allen
PG - LeBron / Magic

Just missed the cut:

Zeke
Stockton
Kidd
GP
CP3
Kemp
K. Malone
Drexler
Iverson
R. Miller
McGrady
J. West
McHale
Wilt
Russell

Meh, I don't buy this benefit of giving teams dual citizenship players. It's all about which team they actually did play for. Kobe played for the USA. Dual citizenship means nothing(plus he was born in the US, spent most of his life in the US). Ewing also played for the USA, so there goes that selection. Duncan, Hakeem. Sorry, not buying it.

USA easy.

Kobe better side with Muricah if he wants to win.

lenox lewis was born in britain, spent the majority of his life in britain, and currently lives in the united states. but he faught for canada

if you're a citizen of another country. for any amount of time. you can play for them internationaly.

nash was born in africa. hes now spent more time in the US during his life than canada or africa. but he can play for canada still

he lived there.

kobe lived in italy for 8 years. thats a long ass time.

ages 6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13

he basically learned how to play basketball IN ITALY

kobe is as international as they come bro

kennethgriffin
09-05-2014, 01:33 AM
kobe is technically the greatest international player ever. not hakeem, not dirk, not oscar schmidt or sabonis. its kobe

kennethgriffin
09-05-2014, 01:44 AM
there have been guys who were born in countries outside of the united states who have played for the united states. and they did so without even spending as much time in the US as kobe spent in italy

hakeem olajuwon being one of them

Kobe and Hakeem are Americans.
You could probably stick just two or three of the starting five with almost anyone and they'd wreck the world team.

He learned basketball from his American father, and videos of American basketball sent over to him.

Also, Kobe is on record of saying he went back to Philly in the summers and learned the most on the city playgrounds.

He lived in Philly till he was 7, then moved back at 14 / 15. Once again, I ask you ... how is he an international player? Why didn't he play for Italy?

lol you obviously didn't learn how to play basketball

i learned how to play basketball BY PLAYING BASKETBALL

kobe was playing against grown ups in italian leagues at age 10. thats how the guy learned the game. that and studying film. but mostly competition

nobody gets good at basketball playing shooty hoops in their driveway with pops

:facepalm

ages 6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13 are the most influential on a kid learning sports. thats when you develope the basics. your attitude, form, understanding of the game. you refine those skills later on

why do you think kobes so damn polished fundimentaly. with the footwork, with the off hand, dude is a wizard for a reason.

hes not the typical black kid streetballer is he. thats the international influence bud

and i know he didnt get that from joe cause joe wasnt half as good as kobe turned out to be

That's exactly what I said, dumb ass. Only difference is the best competition he actually faced was in the states when he'd come home. He's talked about this.

And once again, why would Kobe play for "The World Team" or be an international player? He's American, and played for Team USA.

low rims? pretty sure they were legit... but i wasnt dunking anyway... i was shooting. and made like 10 of 13 shots overall

what do you have? single gifs of you doing one layup and a 5 shoot jump shot in the snow?

atleast i assume that was your vid

and i'l say it again. kobe learned the basics of basketball in italy.

he lived there for 8 years.

his 1st 7 or 8 seasons of basketball seasons were vs italian competition

and his first games against grown men were in italy

i'm sure without all that. and if he came back to the states. then just started playing for the first time at age 14. he wouldnt even have made a highschool team. let alone the nba

OP just salty Kobe would be considered a back up SG to Jordan. Looking for an excuse to put him as a starter.

I was born in Chicago, lived there until I was 9. Lived in Dallas from 9 - 16. Then moved back to the city of Wind. I would NEVER consider myself a product of Dallas, TX.

It's literally the same difference.
