The Average height of their frountcourt is 7'0??! (Bynum, Gasol, Odom)

Noone on the entire heat rotation was 7 feet

So u surround lebron with 7 footers, the most skilled big man in Pau Gasol (20/10 a night), a supremely talented point forward in Odom, the best young center in the game in Bynum and a cold blooded role player in Fisher. Plus an enforcer in Ron Artest that would make Bosh cry?

Is the mastermind Phil Jackson still the coach??

Heck I would be surprised if they didnt sweep the playoffs 3 years in a row

Lebron is better than Kobe.
Is that the answer you wanted?

Nope, not enough shooters.

I was just thinking about how weird it would be seeing Gasol and Odom spotting up at the 3pt line all game :oldlol:

Very few players in history could win b2b titles with that supporting cast.

Truly a testament to Kobe's top 5 greatness.

That would be a devastating frontcourt, can't see anything else than a 3 peat. Gasol-Odom-Bron, really? Fisher and Vucebish and Farmar can rain 3's all day.

Are you seriously hyping up a Farmar/Vujacic/Fisher backcourt right now?

2008-2010 lebron would replicate the same success that kobe and lakers did those years IMO. Well actually I could see them losing the Spurs in 08, but I do think they win b2b.

How weird would it be seeing Kobe leading his team in rebounds and fronting the post from power forwards on d? Kobe would get bullied off the court. Too weak.

What? Where did you get that? I said they would hit open 3's created by other star players, is that too much to ask from NBA players??

Lol @ the thought of Vujecic and Farmar raining threes all day. :oldlol: Fisher, I can see. Dude's money almost every time he's open.

the good news is that I don't see any East team beating this squad.

the bad news is Bynum's health as well as the pressure to score points because of the lack of perimiter defense.

Lebron would have to defend the 3point line.

but I guess a skinny World Peace could do wonders if needed.

OP forgot to mention that Bynum is often injured, he missed 5 months in 08 (from Jan to when Kobe led the team to Finals)

09 Bynum missed nearly half the regular season and was subpar in the POs

2010 Bynum was bad in the POs as well

Bynum's averages for the 2 championships

7 ppg 5 rpg 1.2 bpg on 50% shooting, was healthy enough to average 21 MPG

Lakers have a good front court, but their guard rotation is ass without Kobe

Shannon Brown as a starter? hahahahahaha, the kid was horrible.

Derek Fisher always played like garbage but no one cares because he hit big shots

And World Peace was there only for the 2010 Championship, he started sucking after that

2008 Lakers had no Bynum and Ariza didn't get minutes in the Playoffs, yet Kobe led them to the Finals and was a few bad runs away from winning the series (the Boston comeback, Lakers nearly completing the biggest 4th quarter comeback in Finals history, but came shot 1-2 possessions).

I'd love to see Lebron lead the Lakers to the Finals in 08. ZERO bench.

:oldlol: Why the fukk did you think Vujebish was even in the league? If it weren't for his shooting he's complete shiit.

Hard to say. That roster was built specifically for Kobe. Not enough spot up shooters for Bran. Not sure if Pau would be as effective playing with Bran either since he would probably be taking more jump shots.

He can shoot but his defense sucks, otherwise he'd be in the league right now. Too slow.

Fisher is mad overrated as a player. He's an above-average 3pt shooter with weak finishing ability at the rim, if he didn't hit some big shots he would have been out of the league 5 years ago.

And Pau is not a great jumpshooter. We saw that under D'Antoni. He was missing wide open mid-range shots and his 3s didn't fall. He wouldn't succeed in that role.

Certainly not because he rains threes all day. :hammerhead:

Dude averaged 3 points in like 7 mpg with barely a 3 per game in both of their championship runs. There's a reason why he's out of the league. Dude is/was straight up trash. Dude only got playing time in certain situations. And maybe if it wasn't for him, they'd be giving the same minutes to Ammo. Pick your poison.

I don't see why he'd automatically be "raining threes all day" just because LeBron is there. :oldlol:

Yep. Bran needs floor spacing to support his drive and kick style. It wouldn't really work that well with Pau and Bynum clogging up the paint, and it's not like Odom was a a great 3 pt shooter either.

Kobe is just a far better fit for those teams.

He made the most important free throws of the 2010 Playoffs though. He's a clutch FT shooter and a decent pure shooter, he fit well in the triangle offense, where pace wasn't too high for a slower guy like him.

2011 Odom would fit Lebron well though

he shot 38% from 3 and averaged 14 & 9, won 6MOY

It was only one of his 2-3 above-average 3pt shooting seasons though.

If you put Lebron in place of Kobe, you'd have to move Bynum for a stretch 4 or a respectable shooting guard.
