NBA history buffs would appreciate your input.

Should this include all players, or just the worst players with significant playing time?

Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Shane Battier, Mike Miller, Ray Allen, Udonis Haslem, and Chris Andersen.

AKA The Miami Cavaliers.

Another way to word it:
Players who weren't really good at any facet of the game (at least at an NBA level)

AKA The Miami Cavaliers.
Everyone you mentioned was at least a solid player for a large part of their careers and Wade is all-time elite. Ray Allen is a future HOFer Bosh probably as well.

This is based on their whole careers anyways.

Please don't troll I'm not giving you a serious answer next time

Same goes for you. Kobe is an all time great, and Shaq had other good pieces as well.

There should be a criteria, like worst starter of any team that made playoffs. There are hundreds of 3rd string benches in NBA history.

Keith Bogans, started 333 of his 671 career games.
6.3 PPG, .394 FG, 2.7 REB, 1.3 AST

That's shitty for somebody who started nearly 50% of his games.
Maybe he was good at defense? :confusedshrug:

Perkins is probably up there to for career starter scrubs.

The worst starter ever while being the top player on a team: Bryant "Big Country" Reeves...

The most useless player offensively - Perkins
The most useless player defensively - Bargnani

Nah, Perkins was a defensive anchor of a championship squad. Sure he couldn't ever do much more than stand there, but sometimes that's all you need from your center.

Bargnani is a massive *****, but the dude has averaged 20ppg before.

Vspan is definitely up (well, i guess down) there

I disagree. V-Span actually had some solid pre-season games for the Rockets. Jeff Van Gundy just never played him because they didn't get along well during the regular season.

A lot of these players mentioned in this thread aren't nearly as bad as other players that went pro in comparison. Clifford Rozier's one of the sorriest Starting NBA centers of all time. Clifford Rozier makes Kendrick Perkins look like an all star. Don Mclaen, Frank BRICKowski Blue Edwards,Rex Walters, Acie Earl, Pervis Ellison, and Samaki Walker were pretty terrible NBA players also.

I was pissed the **** off when Van Gundy and the Rockets traded for him. That guy ****ing sucked terribly offensively, and to be honest, i never seen anything special about him in college either. his shooting percentages in the NCAA tournament were terrible. I remember dick Vitale used to be on Keith Bogan's dick hard back in the day. He used to sing Bogan's praises during games when he would just missed shot after shot.:biggums:

Bobby Hurley ****ing sucked also even before the car accident. I used to see people walking around with his Sacramento Kings jersey on all the time and I used to wonder, "these mother****ers can't be serious wearing this scrub's jesery.":biggums:

Most of the players mentioned in this thread were actually productive at some point in their careers :confusedshrug: dissapointing maybe.. but still ok.

If guys stick around the league for a couple of years, there's usually some talent/value that they bring to the table. There are some players that can't even stick around for a total of 10 games and suck in their limited minutes in the NBA (lots of TO's etc)

With that said, I really disliked Nikoloz Tskitishvili (had to google that name) and thought he was worthless. The only reason he stuck around for 172 games was that he was considered a prospect/talent and drafted pretty high (5th overall). He wasn't good at anything, even at his best.

Yeah Tskitishvili was a bum. Denver gave him so many chances to be a good player just off of his skin color alone.

Perkins had a decent post up game also in Boston. Rondo knew where his spots was on the floor for position for him to score in the paint also. I still think Perkins can be a solid role player on the right team. It's just Westbrook and teh Thunder coaching staff just don't know how to get the best out of Perkins as a player. Perkins losing all that weight kinda hindered his game also. People can just drive in the paint and dunk on him a lot more now compared to when he was in Boston.

You would be hard-pressed to actually find the worst NBA players of all-time. They would have to be players who were cut shortly after signing a contract.

No, they gave him chances to be a good player because they were duped into taking him with the fourth pick (or whichever it was) and were hoping he'd develop and they wouldn't look like fools.

He had a couple of fluke solid summer league games also, but they gave him so many chances because of his skin color also. If a black player played as bad as he did on numerous occasions, he woulda been out the league way faster than he did.

This thread needs more rules for posting. There are a number of players who got in and then got out without making an impact. I think JtotheIzzo's post was on the right track, in that he named players that played for multiple seasons and put up shit numbers on average, but were probably kept on board due to shit like height.

Maybe some formula like contract amount combined with production and playing time for their entire NBA career or some shit.

Nay. Anyone that can get you boards and play d is not a bad player. I remember dude being solid at what he did. You could have him as starting c on a contender.

The worst player I've seen is slava medvedenko (sp) and it's made better by how Hollywood he was. Dude got out there like time to shine. I'm convinced if you put him on a team of all stars hed make them lose (assuming he had to start and play.)

Without playing time I'd say Chris Smith (jrs brother) is up there, it's rare to have a guy on a roster who isn't even a basketballer.

Duhon was pretty horrible and got minutes with Orlando.
