With Melo as his 2nd option and Love as his 3rd option does he move into the top 5?

I'm confused.

If Melo and Love go to LA what team is Kobe going to be the number 1 option on? Certainly not the Lakers.

Did u mean if he got traded to Minnesota he would be the #1 option?

Neither of those players(Melo/Love) are 1st option material on a championship team.

If he was the MVP of his team, yes.. but I think unfortunately Kobe's dominating days are over. Not a knock on him, father time is a cruel dude.

That may be true, I don't know, and it doesn't matter.

Love and Melo are both FAR more effective basketball players than Kobe at this point in time.

Depends entirely on his level of play.

if kobe can make 2 empty stat stuffing career losers 2 time nba champions. he deserves more than a top 5 all time spot. he should be presented with the nobel peace prize

Ill still take Kobe as the 1st option and leader.

Lets say 26/5/4 46/80/34

So basically Kobe plays like he's 30 again?

If that happens then yeah... He could move up quite a bit.

Championships are team accomplishments. They dont mean a lot without context. If Kobe plays really well, but his team still doesnt win, he will still go up in the GOAT list. If he plays bad and his team wins, he will stay where he is or can go down depending on how bad he plays.

Depends on who they play in finals, his numbers, reg season play, the gap difference between the options etc..lot of variables .

7-2 A lot better than 2-5

I don't have a GOAT list but those are good numbers. Assuming he's not a sieve defensively, it would have to move him up, right?

I'll leave it to the historians but that's not a bad performance by any means.

2 more rings as a first option and he definitely has a case for top 10

pretty much this. no one is going to care who he plays with, but the number he puts up with, and whether or not he gets the FMVP when it comes to ranking time.

He barely made the playoffs with prime Dwight and then had Gasol and Nash as well.

I don't even know why he thinks he can dine with Melo after playing basketball with him. He should just go home and drink some V8 so other players can actually carry him.
