View Full Version : Hypothetical Bran and Wiggins scenario
Let's say Bran signs with Cleveland and fails to win a chip in three seasons while Wiggins progressively develops and Bran progressively declines. Fast forward to season four where Wiggins = Peak TMAC on offense and Peak Pippen on D and Bran = 2nd three peat Pippen. If the Cavs win a title in season four how will it impact Bran's legacy to win a chip as Wiggins' Pippen?

It'll hurt Lebron's legacy.
He should try to throw the games if that happens.
:facepalm
For real though...that would be interesting... but Wiggins likely won't reach that level of offense. Kyrie may be their best offensive player in 4 years.

It would definitely make his legacy look worse but lets be real... there's no way Andrew Wiggins will be THAT GOOD in his 4th season and no way LeBron declines that fast

Still that's ridiculous to even mention, i like Wiggins but saying such stuff is like saying he's going to be a top 3-5 player all time

Wouldn't they trade Wiggins if Lebron came?
I mean...if Lebron comes don't they flip Wiggins and filler in a deal for Love?

Nah i don't think they would trade Wiggins for Love, mind you Klove wants out so i'm sure picks + the young assets they have ( waiters, TT etc) should get it done i highly doubt they are forced to give him up

His TS% was around the league average during his prime.
2001- 52.1%
2002- 53.2%
2003- 56.4%
2004- 52.6%
2005- 52.6%
Slightly above league average in 2001, comfortably above in 2002 and 2004 and way above in 2003. Slightly below in 2005 (always seemed liked he played more efficiently that season than the stats suggest for some reason). Combine that with how little he turned the ball over. I've seen people compare his TS% to players now, and that makes him look worse, but 1998-2004 was just really tough defensively. The toughest defensive era of the past 34 years.

Also, let's put this "no playoff wins" into context. He had his prime cut short due to injuries and had a bad team for the majority of his prime. The 1st round thing with context is pointless for a player who spent almost all of his short prime on bad teams, was past his prime after age 25 and irrelevant after age 28 due to injuries. How much more should he have accomplished from a team standpoint during that time? As far as his individual play, that shouldn't even be a question. As it is, nobody expected T-Mac to become the offensive force he was. Even during his last year in Toronto, nobody thought he'd become the offensive player Vince Carter was, much less right on Kobe Bryant's level from 2002-2005.

Peak tmac with Pippen's defense?
Everyone on the all time list will fall down if he can reach that level of play :oldlol:

I don't see why that would make sense.
Wiggins ceiling is likely not as good as Love right now.
If Lebron does go back...the Cavs should trade the 1st pick for Love. Wonder if the Cavs could get Dieng as well.
If the Cavs pick up Andy's option he's a 9.8 million expiring contract.
Wiggins, Andy V., and the Cavs 2015 first rounder for Love/Dieng?
I like that better than any package for Love that I've heard.

If Bran joins the cavs, and somehow Wiggins busts or doesnt develop properly watch everyone here blame Bran :facepalm
