View Full Version : Rank the 10/11-13/14 Heat Big 3 era competition

Legends66NBA7

This might be the last time we see this particular group together on the same team. New players might be added, but if another star (let's say Melo) gets added, it would be a different group.

With all that said, let's rank their competition overall in their 4 year run:

First Round

2011 Sixers
2012 Knicks
2013 Bucks
2014 Bobcats

Second Round

2011 Celtics
2012 Pacers
2013 Bulls
2014 Nets

Third Round

2011 Bulls
2012 Celtics
2013 Pacers
2014 Pacers

NBA Finals

2011 Mavericks
2012 Thunder
2013 Spurs
2014 Spurs

For comparison's sake.

San Antonio this season alone went through Dallas, Portland, and Oklahoma City just to get to the Finals

Miami Heat era= fluke

im an okc fan, but how in the hell do you say we were tougher than the 2011 mavericks.

they had better coaching, better star, and an overall better team.

I'm actually surprised that nobody put them #1. Not saying they are clear #1 or anything, but they are certainly in consideration.

They weren't a tougher matchup but in a vacuum they were the better team.

Maybe it's because Durant improved that year ? I think it would be much better series, but I think the 11 Mavericks were much more potent team to make runs and win than the 12 Thunder. Then again, Durant was pretty clutch that year too.

OKC was pretty stacked. Miami was just a horrible matchup for them, shot lights out, LeBron played great, and Harden disappeared. Mavericks played great team ball, but I do think it was more of Miami's struggles to coexist together that lead to the loss. I think the 2012 and 2013 Heat beat them.

IMO, the 2012 Heat are the best team out of the Big 3 era.

Top 9 are legit contenders... great teams. Rest is kind of irrelevant tbh, and the top 8 can vary after the first 2, from 3-8.
