I'd say a lot of people were too hesitant to put him top15.. I mean there are a LOT of great basketball players, Lebron was just flavor of the month for a while since he has been consistently playing in the playoffs and finally won the 2 championships after the decision.

So far the tally is he's 2-2 in championship games and totally choked in the one against dallas. On the plus he did win FMVP in the two back to back championship wins and his team has been to 4 straight championships.

I'd say he's barely in top 20.

I agree. People think having finals appearances somehow boosts one's legacy. But you have to put it in perspective on what teams you faced on route to the finals. The East is a joke and the Heat are literally guaranteed finals appearances with the most stacked team in the East every year.

LOL here we go again. Kobe was mediocre in 3 of his first 4 finals appearances so now we go the "look who they beat before the finals"

So we should discredit most of the Lakers 80's title runs because the West was garbage?

Let's not get carried away here.

I am 44, I watched every player on this list, except for Oscar and West. And I don't particularly like Lebron. I am more a MJ-Kobe-Durant type of guy.

But Lebron's overall impact, individual skills and team achievements make him a lock Top 10.

On this list, he's better than Malone, Pippen and at least at the level of all the others, probably slightly better than most of them. KG, Dirk, Robinson were never clear cut best players of the league.

He plays like shit in this series (I don't mean the stats, but he's just jacking off 3s), but let's not forget how he played all these years.

Moses Malone was a great player and a beast down low. But better? C' mon.
Dr. J was a legend, but he has nothing on Lebron. Pure skills wise, West hasn't either.

So, top 10, even if the top 10 should realistically be top 15. And Lebron definitively belongs there, in the upper tier.

We actually don't because these Lakers faced the god damn Fo-fo-fo sixers, Bird's Celtics and the Bad Boy Pistons in the Finals. Harder competition on the way to the finals wouldn't have prevented them from winning 5 titles.

Meanwhile Bran probably doesn't get out of the West had the Heat been in the WC this year. The Lakers were way better than any non-Finalist regardless.

-1 NBA MVP

- Better Footwork.

- Better Post Up player.

Playmaking? Lebron doesn't make play, only Bail out pass.
Lebron Known Play: Drive dunk, Drive Dunk, Flop, Flop Drive Dunk, Bail Out pass, Bailout pass, 3s,3s, Drive Dunk, Flop, Flop, Flop, Fake Cramp...All in just one quarter.

Hakeem
-Lead the league in rebound 2x,
-lead the league in blocks 2x,
-#1 alltime leader in blocks.
- 2x Defensive Player of the year( Lebron can only dream)

Lebron doesn't lead the league in anything.
Lebron got toast, by barea, terry and mills..
Spurs make Lebron Heat defending champ look like Charlotte Bobcats 2013.
Lebron quit his team in his prime(quiter).
Lebron Join force with you know who.(Former Final MVP, Champ, 30ppg with 50%FG)

When lebron try to post up, it often result to travel, loose ball and TO.
Hakeem Won chip with no All-star

At this point? Lets see here....

1st of all, he has been the best player in the NBA since arguably his 2nd year in the NBA, considering he has been the most productive player in the NBA since then.... whatever the argument may be i dont think any player in NBA history has held that "best player in the NBA" title as long as Lebron has....

2nd of all, he per 100 possessions (or whatever poss.) or per minute or per second on the court has been factually/statistically the most overall productive player in NBA history, the only guy who was that productive was Michael Jordan...........

Last but not least, he is one of and if not arguably the most prominent players in terms of TEAM IMPACT.... his game/productions etc. translates to extreme team success, it makes any NBA supporting cast an instant championship contender....

Now.... lets take a look at some of the NBA accolades he might have:

4 x MVP
2 x FMVP
2 x NBA Champion (all as the definite best player in his team & NBA)
10 x All-NBA Team
6 x All-Defensive Team
10 x All-star
Rookie of the Year

So.... individually what we are looking at here is one of / if not the most prominent player in NBA history when on the court and one of the best & dominant peaks ever........... but also a guy with accolades alone that instantly puts you in the top 10....

All in All........... he "DESERVES" to be highest #5 (over Larry Bird) and the absolute lowest #9-#10 (over Hakeem, Moses, West, Oscar, Julius)
