he needs to get a lot of easy shots in the paint, rebound like a champ, and block shots. the ball movement will be circulating around the perimeter, so he needs to just post up on whichever side the ball is on and take advantage of the heats lack of post guys.
or pop can play him at the high post, and use his passing or 15 footer to initiate offense

I expect him to do whatever it takes to win, regardless if that hurts his numbers or not. That's Duncan. That's greatness. Duncan will sacrifice for the win.
Contrarily, I don't think Bron can win without being the MVP.

Just be himself. he's approaching his 1,500th game and it's not like we'll see anything "new" from him. He's consistent and people don't call him Groundhog Day for no reason. Just score in the paint, rebound the ball on both ends, block shots, facilitate offense through the post here and there, hit midrange jump shots and FT's when need be, lead by example like he's been doing his whole career.

for SA to win I think he needs to go back in time to 2003 and let that Duncan play for him.

If he can dominate whoever they put on him, Spurs can win. He needs to be able to draw a double to give the offence room and prevent traps and turnovers. San Antonio is going to need to modify it's pace significantly, and he, Boris Diaw and Parker are the only three guys that will really thrive in a slower environment.
I'm looking for him to go on runs by himself, to force the doubles. His points will fluctuate if they double irregularly, but the impact will be there.
On defense, well, Pop will sort that out. I have no idea where his emphasis is.

I say spurs in 5 or 6.

This Spurs team with peak Duncan would sweep the Heat, or take it in 5, because Duncan would be head and shoulders the best player on the floor.
But Duncan's nowhere near as effective as he was back then (and rightly so). The best I expect of him right now is to do what he did in last year's Finals, which seems completely possible.

duncan vs bosh is lowkey the most important matchup of this series

Yeah, it'd be over in 5 with peak Wade. But they already have the best player in the league. I was evening it out by giving the Spurs someone as good.
I'm not sure what Bosh will do. I've watched him 2 or 3 times this year, and I remember Tim taking it to him when they met in the regular season.
Gonna be a great Finals regardless.
IMO in order for Duncan to be the difference maker in this series he needs to have at least two games of 22-25 pts/ 10-14rbs. He can hover around 16pts 9 rbs in the other games.
