If the Heat win one more, LeBron will easily pass Kobe on the all-time list.
And if LeBron loses once more in the finals he drops out of the Top-10 entirely with a West-esque Finals losing record.
Fickle things these legacies...

Still hard to believe that Lakers team went to 3 straight finals and won b2b titles. BS stats aside, Kobe can just will you to wins, man.

I love seeing Laker "fans" so insecure and worried. Lakers been handed everything on a silver platter.
Kobe had Pau, Odom, and fisher as his best next players... Not comparable..

bynum didnt even play those 2 years
he averaged 6 points
and kobe won without artest
and ariza aint all that.
10 years in the nba,
9 points per game career

oh yea that really equals an epic side kick lol

Ariza and Artest were the epitome of role players. People forget the headaches they gave during their development. Bynum was a straight up bum in the playoffs, hardly playing due to injuries and being foul prone.

wow so Kobe beat the magic and celtics without perkins.
Lebron beat OKC(who were the favorites), Spurs (also favorites), and if they win again they will beat the Spurs(FAVORITES AGAIN).
Game over b. Lebron will be top 5 all time in 3 weeks. Pushing kobe to #11 just outside the top 10.

Kobe cannot and will not do anything without Phil. Dude looks like a lost puppy without him.

2010 celtics without perkins = still 4 hall of famers
lakers had 1 ( pau aint no lock with 4 asg's, 2 third team all nbas and 18ppg, best olympic silver medalist? LOL)

Mike Dantoni and Mike Brown is as far away from Phil Jackson as it gets.

well before he got phil he was 19
and after phil left he was past his prime in 2012 with 17 years on his legs
he came back strong in 2013 but then another career ending injury happened.
how can a guy look good without phil when he spent his entire prime with phil

Phil is GOAT coach, you act like he had no affect on Kobes play.

:biggums:
Are you talking out of your butt right now, Luke Walton was NOT the best player on the second unit. Luke was a decent passer off the bench, and could hit the 3 occassionally, nothing more.

How did he act that way? He said nothing about the effect phil had on him.

4 hall of famers? are you saying rondo will be a hall of famer and Pau wont be?
paus finished with 4 asg's, 2 third team all nba's, 0 all defensive awards
rondos just starting and has 4 allstar games, 4 all defensive awards and an all nba team
hes already had 3 seasons averaging a double/double..
guys who average 10+ assists for multiple years usually make the hall of fame
rondos on pace for 10,000 assists by age 34
yes he'l be a hall of famer baring any further injury
:biggums:

Yeah actually it was Jordan Farmar. The dude who was out of the league not long after leaving the Lakers.

D-Fish old as dirt couldn't guard a single pg.. Odom with add/drug/candy problems.. Artest with cement blocks as feet... And Bynum was entirely a non factor.. Sasha couldn't even make the bench on the worst of NBA teams.

Op has a point.
A point? Pau was an all star and the best big in the game. Odom was a 6MoY. Phil is a HoF coach. Fisher has played in more playoff games than anyone in NBA history and is also one of the clutchest playoff performers ever. Ariza and Artest were both premiere perimeter defenders and guarded all the other teams stars. The bench was deep and played well together, only insecure kobe lovers try to downplay their impact.
That team could have won without Kome :facepalm

I have no agenda when it comes to Kobe. You can think whatever you'd like.
However speaking in terms of the team.. Its laughable and absurd to suggest that without. Kobe they would be the same team. Phil Jackson had a difficult job keeping Odom and Gasol motivated during those seasons. He and Kobe would push and prod them to continue being aggressive on the court. Both have admitted to the LA press that Kobe pushed them so as not to be complacent. Bryant was an essential part of those teams. Without him they obviously wouldn't have been the same.
