The Miami Heat era that started in 2012 has already run it's course, yet the San Antonio Spurs era that started in 1999 is still in progress, how is this possible? :wtf:

Yet the Heat repeated while the Spuds never did. Now you tell me who won. I see them, they run.

the spurs have been relevant title contenders for a long ass time.... since the late 90s. and we're in 2014 now.

let's check out the history. during that span, we saw showtime lakers come and go. the kings were "in the mix" for a little while but never got it. the pistons had their fame for about a minute or two. suns had some terrific seasons, but never materialized in the post season. mavs were there and did win it all, but they've already faded. celtics had quick re-emergence with the big 3 but obviously dropped off the map already. the heat are the new boys, but who knows how long they'll last. i know i'm missing some teams, but that's not the point. the point is no other nba team has enjoyed this kind of longetivity.

but damn, look at the friggin spurs -- they started their shit well before these teams and are STILL legit contenders right now. those guys have basically been competitive for about a decade and a half.

Tell the judge that your wife is trying to make your kids douche-bag LeBron/Heat fans. He is certain to side in your favor.

But they weren't contenders the whole time, with some embarrassing early round exits.

Run it's course? Keeping thinking that, chump. Watch Pat Riley cook during the off-season, when he completely revamps the bench with younger contributors. The Heat also have a draft picks in the 14 draft. James Ennis will come over from his stint in the NBL. Win or lose this year, The Heat will be back.
