It isn't that he doesn't have great playoff moments, it is that he lacks great moments in the Finals during his 2 FMVP years.

Don't act dumb, dude. It's pretty obvious by your response you're reaching hardcore and further narrowing the parameters of what should be considered "legitimate" playoff performance just to fit your agenda ("Oh, it has to happen in a Finals where he won Finals MVP") Get real.

What the fk are you talking about, troll? I never said anything about Kobe's performances not being legitimate. I respect Kobe and think he is one of the best players of all time. All I was saying was that I thought a common complaint people had towards Kobe was that his 2 FMVP Finals didn't have many memorable moments. That in no way diminishes his accomplishments. Stop being such a sensitive baby.

Those are good moments, but not memorable. Kobe just happens to be lacking memorable moments that stick out in people's mind, like the player's he's compared to.

What is Lebron's most memorable moment in Finals history? the entire 2011 Finals? :oldlol:

Kobe's the only player since MJ to put up 30+ ppg 5+ rpg 7+ apg in a Finals series, he absolutely dominated the Orlando Magic on both ends of the floor.

2010 Finals Game 7, the pass to Ron Artest for the biggest shot of the series, making clutch FTs to ice the game.

I didn't bring Lebron up so not sure why you're showing your insecurity, and we're talking about memorable moments, not putting up 30+ points on 40% shooting.

You could argue some of the "Honorable Mentions" as not being memorable, but the initial 7 I listed are all legitimate. What more proof do you need than those moments/plays appearing on multiple, legitimate "Best of/Greatest Moments" lists.

That's AT LEAST 7. What other GOAT candidate has more memorable playoff moments, besides Jordan?

Stop grasping at straws, haters.

I wouldn't go there dude. LeBron has several more signature playoff moments than Kobe. It's not even a debate really. You ask people for LeBron's best playoff moments and Game 5 against Detroit 07, Game 6 against Boston 12, Game 7 of the 13 Finals, etc will all come up. And hell if we are talking about losing series, his Orlando ECF was one of the best statistical series in NBA playoff history.

I mean that list is beyond pathetic for Kobe. Which one of those playoff moments would you tell your kids about? "Yea son, I was watching it LIVE when Kobe tossed that lobe to Shaq" :oldlol: Signature moments are the ones we go back and can tell everyone where you were when it happened. They are timeless moments. That Kobe list of "memorable" playoff moments was very weak for a top 10 player

his suns buzzer-beater was perhaps the most "memorable" since he was on a lower seeded team bringing down a giant. he lost the series, but he was supposed to anyways. he was a 7th seed and he had no chance really, despite being up so much.

but the thing about kobe is, like jordan, there are a lot to choose from, so he doesn't really have a "magnum opus" like most players. you can't say one jordan moment is more "memorable" than the other, which is just like kobe.

with other players i can name their "magnum opus" off the top.

isiah thomas: one-legged game
john stockton: wcf game winner
bran james: comeback vs detroit
larry bird: duel vs dominique
magic johnson: game 6 vs sixers

those are their moments when absolutely everything came together for them. there is always that moment when an extremely talented player plays that "one" game where the stars align for them and they put on a herculean performance. however, for players like kobe and jordan, they are such consistent greatness that there isn't a lot of parody for them, even still, they have a lot to choose from.

The only people who say Kobe has no memorable playoff moments are children who started watching basketball when Lebron joined the Heat. They don't remember because they weren't even ****ing watching basketball or were too young to comprehend it.

Lebron stans have the audacity to bring up Lebron taking off his headband as a memorable moment. What a joke. Not taking anything away from Lebron, but that was obviously Ray Allen's night.

That lob was the biggest moment of the three-peat. Kobe brought the Lakers back by damn near himself by leading in 4 categories while MVP Shaq put up 18 & 9.

Was the best player on the most dominant Playoff team in NBA History (2001 Lakers).

am i supposed to be impressed by that crappy list? 20 years from now no one will remember those games. meanwhile lebron's game 6 @ boston, game 5 @ detroit, the cramp game vs okc, the headband game vs spurs, legendary game 7 vs spurs. there's a bunch more but just wanted to make a quick list.

That's as irrelevant and arbitrary as they come. It's like you sat the entire day at the Computer trying out Basketball Reference for SOME kind of Criteria in which Kobe SOMEHOW pops up with the name of Michael Jordan... really sad tbh.
