Wiggins doesnt have that cold-blooded mentality, Jabari doesnt play good defense and Embiid has back issues. They're all still gonna be good, but Exum will be the best. He has that winner mentality. People dont rate him as highly as these college guys because he's Australian, but he'll be better than all of them.

I get a good vibe from watching him play, though his competition in Australia sucks. He looked good against team USA though.

His body movement & his passing ability are elite, really hard to evaluate his defense because of the competition, but he's athletic enough to be at least medicore. If we don't move up in the lotto & he's available, I wouldn't mind getting him. We need a young, explosive PG.

I guess that's where the Penny comparison comes in. Imo, he's a mix of both Wall and Penny.

I'm an Aussie, and I want to see him succeed as much as anyone, but I can't be the only one who thinks he looks like an iffy pick, can I?

Sure, it's nice having a guard with size, but watching him play, you just don't get a sense of awe... I could be wrong though, but he doesn't seem like a spectacular athlete, nor a particularly great shooter, and as far as his playmaking goes, it isn't as spectacular as some make it seem.

I've actually taken time to find his games, and as much footage of him as I can recently, and I'm not convinced. I didn't mind the Ginobili comparison someone put forth in the thread. Sneaky athlete, smooth, who is in some way a jack of all trades type player. Although from the looks of things, Exum doesn't seem to possess the great vision and passing ability of Manu.

I'm with you. I'm sure you and I both want him to succeed more than others on the board so he can bolster our national team, but I'm not sure. I see a lot of great traits in his game, but a lot of negatives too that completely negate his positive.

His first step is great, but his shooting is so horrible that teams are going to sag off him and diminish its effectiveness. He is like Wiggins in that regard although Wiggins is a far better shooter than Exum, and that is saying something considering Wiggins is just about average at this point.
