As others have said, Pierce had a more rounded game, and he was great in the clutch. Pretty easy decision at this point IMO.

I would take Pierce , Harden still has a season or two until he hits his prime and then his peak. It's closer than you think though, Pierce never did anything being the main focus of the team, Harden first year with the Rockets and he brought them to the playoffs in the tougher western conference..don't get me wrong though, the east was legit back then with Orlando TMAc , Allen Iverson, The 00s pistons etc

Thats pretty imprssive he probably might be better then Pierce at the 3pt shooting. I always thought Harden 3pt shot was pretty good especially when hes hot but some folks make it out that Pierce cant shoot 3's cuz his 3's were really clutch.

Paul Pierce is also a better player for the playoffs. His hald court offense is way better then Hardens. Harden beats him in transition and fast breaks but thats about it. Slowing the game down will affect Hardens game as we seen in the playoffs.

Harden has had only one playoff season with his PER below 19. (And it was his rookie year, with a career low 15.8).

Pierce on the other hand is on a full throttle STREAK of doing this, he's been doing it since 08. And has 6 year streak of it. With a low of a PER of 10 in these past 6 years, and a high of 17 PER in 08. Brutal.
Harden gotta prove something first man. I honeslty think Harden might have the better career but at this moment its Pierce.
