@ESPNNBA
Source confirms to @Chris_Broussard that Rockets will trade Aaron Brooks to Nuggets for Jordan Hamilton (first reported by @RealGM)
Brooks can be used as a nice backup for Lawson since Robinson is out.

I think Hamilton will fit nicely with the Rockets

I think Howard was traded to Houston, not to the Lakers but maybe I wrong.

Good trade for both. Denver gets a quality guard who can back-up Lawson. Houston gets their athletic wing player they want.

Mehh I'm just happy to see Aaron Brooks go to a team and get some actually playing time, Hamilton doesn't impress me much but is still young and can improve

Like this better than the NY deal. Not really anything that important all tho I do think Hamilton carves out a place as a bench scorer and sticks in the league. Brooks probably plays out his contract on the Nuggets as a backup than goes wherever after.

So now we have 3 SFs and 2 PGS?

Lin and Parsons for Rondo? Please don't go Chandler!

they have about 40 minutes to put something like that together. is that a trade hou fans would want?

With the addition of an athletic small forward the Rockets have added their last piece to the puzzle. They now have no weaknesses.

Conference finals is a lock, not sold against OKC just yet. But this team is improving.

Although not much time as the 3, Hamilton has played at the 2 this season.

Have you not seen how handsome Parsons is? Fukc no we don't want to do that trade.

Seriously though, there was tweet saying Dwight isn't thrilled about possibly playing with RR. Not opposed to it, but not excited about it either. I am still trying to figure out how it would change our offense. He makes Harden play off ball and I he doesn't look especially good doing that anymore. Then, if RR and D12 do PnR, defenders will just clog the paint and dare RR to shoot. Same thing if Rondo gives D12 an entry pass. RR defender would double Howard and dare RR to shoot. Even on defense, our PGs aren't getting roasted all that often. It's usually Harden just slacking or causing the defense to rotate and somebody doesn't etc etc.

Oh ok. I don't know anything about him. Well now we have a back up for Harden.

You think they're winning a championship within the next 3 years? Their core isn't good enough. They're a cute team, a threat to make a nice playoff run but that's it. It's about winning it all in the NBA, if you arent doing that then you arent going anywhere.

I can't think of any team that got their major players and won a chip the first year together. I imagine our roster will look really really different in the next year or 2. We very well could win one in 3. Not being a homer, I'm a realist

This, I don't get why people are so worried about us winning it all this year, nobody said it was a do or die season..we got Howard and harden locked up for the next few years, yes I'm hoping we can go all the way but I won't be disappointed if we don't win the finals or make it for that matter. Now with Harden and howard under contract we can surround them with the right players.

So the 3rd best team in the ultra competitive west has no shot?

I said it before and I'll say it again, Houston would be a #1 seed in the East, and everyone would be singing a different tune. As it stands, nobody scares me in the playoffs from the west but OKC and LAC. A WCF appearance seems apparent.

If they can get that far, then its a toss up.

I like our chances. Houston fans like their chances. Avery Bradley and JVG like our chances. Skip and SAS like our chances.

The only people who dont are LA fans, Dwight haters, and Harden haters.

Sucks to suck. Feels good to be in the mix.

i like Brooks a lot, he should be a starter. every time he gets opportunities he puts up, and he's got all around game. he can also take over games.

man i'd love to see Denver with Ty, Nate, and Brooks on the floor even if its just for a quarter. they have to be the 3 quickest guards in the NBA with some of the best handles.

I don't think there is a more defensive fan base than Houston's.... Will Hamilton get much playing time?

We need someone to give Harden some rest because he is being run into the ground by the coaching staff. Garcia has been a disappointment so Hamilton has a chance to cement the backup the 2 guard spot and even play the 3 behind Parsons.
