Regardless how you feel about Kobe , you have to admit, there was something missing from the West's swagger last night with Harden on the floor in place of Kobe.

What do you think ISH?

It's not just Kobe. This was the first All-Star Game since 1997 without Kobe, Duncan or KG. Sad stuff.

Too true.

Dirk looked lost everytime he was on the floor, like who are these kids and where the hell did my guys go? lol

This coming from a man who makes 7+ consecutive tweets about LeBron in a 15 minute time frame?

Skip is right. The ASG is far more competitive and exciting with Kobe there.

Well life has to go on. Sooner or later players decline and/or retired.

Life does go on. We have to deal with these set of players for the next generation.

I agree the ASG is not the same without Kobe. Other players on the West actually touch the ball now.

Not only Kobe. But him, Timmy, Westbrook are competitors that would've actually played D.

Too bad they can't win without Kobe :oldlol:

They lost in 08 and 10 without Kobe as well.

The ASG has been bad for years even with Kobe.

I don't think they care, they're just basking in the enjoyment of playing basketball without the all-time leader in shots taken and shots missed.

I mean we know for a fact no stars actually want to play with him.

Not the same without Shaq for me. Shaq had more humor within the All Star game, which made it more fun to watch. Whatever he was trying to cross ppl over at the perimeter trying to be a point guard, or dancing at the all star introduction. Plus he had some great dunks.

But I'm sure there will be other all star games that will be entertaining.

That isn't true. Usually the games would boil down to the alphas Kobe v.s. LeBron. It happened several years in a row. Some very entertaining games as a result to be honest. I definitely missed Kobe out there last night. The game was just missing that swagger.

Didn't this game set the record for most points scored ever in an ASG? What was lacking exactly? Felt like the usual ASG to me (post 2000ish), didn't really notice anyone's absence. Guys put on a show with no defense- nice dunks, crossovers, shots, etc for the first 3 1/2 quarters and then they played some defense down the stretch. Close game where there were lead changes.

If anyone missed Bean's mindless chucking I think the Servant more than filled the void.
