This has nothing to do with anything, but if you're called the worst aids patient ever, does that mean you have the best chance of all patients to survive, or the worst?

That guy while clearly intelligent was simultaneously one of the biggest idiots I've seen in the NBA. The level of immaturity and delusion he showed was just amazing... hes going to be sitting at some some shitty job 10 years from now thinking What the **** was I thinking?

I guess you never been scared to do something, and have that fear take over your life. Hard to fault someone for being stricken w/ fear. I myself HATE/FEAR flying to no degree. The only way I can fly is if I pop enough pills and drink alot of alcohol.

It's obvious he doesn't have any fears, just took the money and didn't give a **** about everybody.

it wasn't just that though... Rockets seemingly bent over backwards to accommodate him and he kept giving them the middle finger.

agreed, still has enough courage to have all these baby mamas and other things revolving around him during his time off to recover. He played college ball flew all over the place. He got a check and cashed in and now thinks hes an advocate bc he hastages #bewell on twitter lol. ****ing joke for people who have legitimate mental health issues.

Just this week, the NBA's Royce White said in an interview with ESPN that he had cut a deal with the Houston Rockets to use bus transportation for much of the season's travel schedule rather than fly with the team. He missed the team's media day on Monday.
The Rockets have even agreed to consider putting it in writing in Royce's contract because his fear of flying and accompanying anxiety is so crippling.
"What it's going to look like is every game that's drivable, I'm going to get a bus for myself," White told ESPN. "And I'm going to make that bus feel like home so that there's a level of consistency in a job where inconsistency is very apparent because of the schedule. I'm going to try and level that out and make sure that my stress levels stay low and that my rest is regular and that my meals are regular and that as much as I can, draw consistency from a very inconsistent schedule.

too lazy to look it up, i know rockets had a special RV for him, had doctors for him, had all these treatment plans worked out, etc.
He just up and didn't show up for practices, refused d-league assignments, publicly called out the Rockets for trying to f*ck him up, etc.
This isn't really news...

I believe he was offered a bus ride or something like that and abandoned it for some stupid reason yet again. It's not the fear, it's greed and unhonesty, that nikka is trying to stack up as much money from NBA as he can and live his life as a regular no name further on. His actions prove, that he has no intention of playing basketball further on, it's just an act. A smart one, I might add, because he will get away and with money.

You can look up the whole story yourself, but the Rockets got him a therapist, agreed to let him travel by bus to some games, and finally tried to send him to the D-League while they kept trying to sort the situation out. He repeatedly talked shit about the Rockets to the media and eventually refused to play in the D-League.
Frankly I was surprised the Rockets kept him around for as long as they did, I guess when you pick somebody in the first round you want to give them a good chance to make it.

Wish him well but I wonder if he had been a 2nd round pick if he still had the same outlook of "eff you guys, I'm gonna do this my way"

Nah, he's the worst. The Rockets tried to accommodate him in many ways and by all accounts he was a goddamn nightmare. Olowokandi might have been a bigger bust, but White was unpleasant to work with, and acted like a petulant child, while also attempting to make the Rockets look bad to certain media. No one has been worse, really.

The dude talks about his "character" yet he had off the court incidents in college (more than one) and also had a slew of baby mommas and I'm pretty sure that he tried to deny paternity on at least one. Dude is a head case prick who sounds like a really nice guy in interviews but he's really just a prick.

It's not a lot but I remember one that Frenchie guy Weiss who is more known as the guy who Vince Carter jumped over in the Olympics. Knicks fans were furiously mad at the draft as the Knicks bypassed their local guy Ron Artest to draft him. He never played a single minute in the NBA

There have been very few 1st round picks that never played a game in the league..so he has to be up there with the worst. There have been guys that just played one season and were out of the league..but at least they played a season.

There are tons of first rounders who are terrible. But none that I can remember that got paid for an entire season, while bitching and moaning that the team is stacking the decks for him to fail all the while bending over backwards to help the guy

I'm sorry that you have such a problem with me, I apologize for disliking Melo's wife and upsetting you.
On topic:
I probably should have read the article because I didn't realize it said not including players who never came over from Europe, but I'm also of the opinion that if you have a player who is cancerous/just bad and is taking away minutes from players who could use development time, that is worse than picking someone who flames out before even playing a game and then rants on twitter about it. Would you have rather drafted Royce White and had this 3 month catastrophe or draft JR Smith and have a headache for years who will never be worth the money? Same with someone like Jennings, "talented" enough to warrant getting paid enough money to cripple your team building and not talented enough to take you anywhere. I consider these "worse" but I suppose it's a matter of perspective.

Royce White was a year long catastrophe. The other guys may not take you anywhere but they aren't causing you stress and anxiety off the court (which was 100% of the time for White). Seriously, the Rockets bent over backwards for this guy and White tried to portray them as anti-mental-health friendly. White basically ran a twitter campaign slandering the Rockets and their management.
There is no argument to be made for JR or Jennings being a worse pick than Royce White, none.

Good point.
I guess Houston took a chance on him as they had 2 other 1st round picks that year....
to answer your question, I'd rather take JR/Jennings type guy over a guy who wouldnt play a single minute.

That's fine, I'm not trying to argue it is a fact, it's just how I see it personally. I'd rather cut ties as soon as possible if something isn't gonna work out, and I feel like the terribleness of the pick is lessened by the fact they had...two others right? I know one of them was Terrence Jones, who is balling and would have had to split time with Royce had he been less crazy and that could have been bad for them, or good, you never know. The Rockets ended up okay, no one took his complaints seriously and they didn't miss out on the draft. They had 3 shots to get a good player and they hit. They must be good drafters, wasn't Parsons a late pick as well?
Edit: And they got Lamb, who I was very high on, so they hit on 2/3 picks that's pretty damn good.
He's a cleveland fan, pick a year.
