KD will be the closest

After the merger, only Moses Malone and Karl Malone managed to that. And David Robinson and Shaquille O'Neal got close.

The last one is Karl Malone in 1989-90 season. And the last one got close Shaq in 1999-00 season. What do you expect?

Durant's the only player with a prayer of doing this atm. If Ibaka wasn't on the Thunder, and Durant was forced to play PF he would easily be doing it. 34/10/5 is possible for Durant in the right situation

Don't think Durant will ever rebound or assist in double digits for a season.

I think Love has the best chance as double digit rebounds is basically a guarantee for him. Davis has a chance but he'll have to bulk up and get more easy baskets inside

Love is the only one capable but he'd do it on bad shooting.

Anthony Davis has the best chance. Kevin Love potentially could, but I don't think he ever will get quite there in scoring. DeMarcus could if on a shitty team once he hits his prime. Melo is the closest right now (27.0ppg/9.1rpg), but I think his 30ppg seasons are done and he won't ever get quite up to 10rpg.

Or maybe not even his parents are born yet lol.

Considering that even Shaq has never *technically* done it, I don't think we have seen the player who will do that yet. Giannis will probably come the closest, but 10 boards a game is gonna be tough with Sanders and Henson there.

The real question is, is a 30/10 SF/PF/C harder to find than a 30/10 PG/SG?

Do you mean 30-10 with rebounds vs 30-10 with assists? If so, no.

30-10 with assists is just insane. Has anyone done that besides Oscar?

Oscar Robertson did it 5 times and Tiny Archibald did it once.

30-10 rebounds happened 22 times

To answer OP's question, I doubt it will happen anytime soon.

This is why Shaq missed the cut (by 20 something pts, he scored just 6 in that game.) Oh well, least he averaged 30/15 twice in the playoffs.

Blake is another guy who might get close.

He's getting the rebounds, but he'd need to average like 8 more points per game. Doubtful.

Guess who leads the league in 30 10s?

I really am dumbfounded that people have mentioned Anthony Davis as the most likely candidate for this...

He is already great and his ceiling is incredible but 30ppg scorer? :wtf: can someone please explain?

Homer pick, but I think Curry could do it under the right circumstances. Also, with the way Melo is rebounding this year, I think he could do it as well. Maybe a PF like Aldridge, Love, or Griffin if they took their games to the next level.

We all know it is far far FAR from likely, but can you name a more likely candidate?

Good point. But I also don't think anyone in the league is capable of it and the question is kinda moot. But if I had to say I would pick Kevin Love over Davis for it, but again Love will never achieve a 30ppg season IMO.

I think Love is a good choice. I mentioned him as well. The reason I went with Anthony Davis over Love is Davis is 20 years old and in his 2nd year, while Love is 25 in his 6th year. Love is definitely closer at this moment, but I think Davis has a ton of room for growth. He increased his scoring average by 6.5 in the past year and he is still 7 years away from what I think is the peak age for centers (27).

I don't think Davis will ever even approach 30 PPG. Not a knock on him or anything but it will never happen.

Melo has a shot this year if he goes on a scoring and rebounding binge. Right now at 27/9.1 Noone else has a shot.

None of current players will do that, that is what I think.

Closest to average that... Love, but he won't score more than 26-27 a game.

:biggums:

I'm not sure you understand how difficult 30ppg is. It's been done by 12 players in the last 30 years.

30/10 has only been done once then, by Karl Malone 31/11 in 1989-1990. Davis is not a Malone type scorer, sorry.
