So Kobe never disappeared in the 4th quarters or passed up shots in the clutch? How do you explain the Phoenix series after being up 3-1? Game 7? 1 shot in the entire 2nd half.

As far as stats go, Kobe's 7-27 in the playoffs in game-winning/tying shots. That doesn't scream all that alpha to me. Obviously he's a 5-time champ and the greatest SG since MJ and one of the best closers ever, but he's not perfect either.

People don't become "alphas" overnight. Lebron is certainly considered an alpha after Game 7 of the finals. Or how about the 45/15/5 against Boston down 2-3 in the series?

Give Lebron the respect that he deserves. The two titles he won b2b were earned. People can cry injury and officiating and say that Ray Allen saved his career with a 3pter, but he's put his team in the position to succeed after the 2011 Finals collapse and he's currently the conseus best player in the world.
