Jazz are gonna give him the max aren't they? so how can Miami top that?

They probably won't, they tried to lock him up before the deadline to avoid that happening. Sounding more likely he'll end up in Boston next year.

Potentially the next Larry Bird. Could end up more of a Chris Mullen type tho.

On the low end he'll be slightly better than prime Keith Van Horne

Gordon Hayward reminds me of a much bigger version of Jeff Hornacek, which is pretty damn good. Both can shoot, dribble, drive and utilize the screens well. Being 23 and at 6'8 at the SG spot, he has tons of potential to be even better.

Gordon is a StarCraft-fan? Nice.

Anyway, he and the Jazz are just not in agreement about his next contract and working on the details or has he said that he wants to leave/test free agency?

He's more then welcome to Boston.

I guess this shows how much a single player can do without a good team supporting him.

No Ibaka + no Westbrook= loss to the Jazz even though KD put up 48 (not saying he had a great game though)

He has sneaky athleticism, and is very skilled. If jazz get lottery player from this years class they have a future with two possible franchise players.

You thought Chase Budinger deserved to be mentioned alongside them? Before Pekovic? Is Pekovic not white? He's a beast to throw the ball down low to of the highest order.

What would you say is a fair price for him? $10-12mill per year? I don't think he is worth more than that but I can see someone overpaying him a bit to pry him away from the Jazz

Goes to show you Lebron James is the real MVP, he would've played much better defense on Hayward and would've gotten the W. :applause:

It was a great game for Hayward but he hasn't shown enough consistency for my liking. He'll look really great and then he'll have some games where he disappears for stretches. Not saying it is necessarily a lack of effort but by this point in his career he should be settling in to being a consistent scoring threat for the type of money people are thinking he'll command.

He's been forced to be the #1 guy on offence for the Jazz, a role he's not good enough to fill, so he's going to be inconsistent have have crap percentages. He'll be a very good #3 guy on a team, which is why he's not worth huge max money, but that's never stopped a team from overpaying before and it's why the Jazz tried to lock him up before the deadline so he didn't hit restricted free agency and get a max/near max offer from Boston or Phoenix.

Yeah, I realize that. It's a tough season for the Jazz, but all of the younger guys have been a bit up-and-down - Trey Burke is still going through those rookie pains though at times he has looked great and has a bright future, Favors seems to still be adjusting getting a lot of minutes, and Kanter has been disappointing for mine. Oh, and Marvin Williams gonna Marvin Williams.
